So I was able to start reading the Ninja Turtles reboot again and kicked off from the starting arc. I was cool until I came on the end of ish # 5

You know how in most stories Splinter is Hamato Yoshi's pet rat or the man himself as a mutant...?

well here they decided that Yoshi and his four children were killed and underwent Buddhist reincarnation as a rat and four turtles

I actually like it better this way.

It was nothing special.
The writer worked too hard to make Arcade a bad ass (when he became more powerful than Molecule Man I don't know) and the dialog just came off forced and stupid.
I understand that Marvel is just trying to piggyback off of the Hunger Games but this book does nothing to grab me after this first issue.
