Was there an official annoucement made or are you just going off that Variant cover?

I'll tell you right now, Marvel puts Black Panther on lots of variant covers and never actually uses the character in the book. So I'm not holding my breath.

Like I said it aint the creators, it's the fanbase of the big two companies.

The smaller comic book companies don't have that problem. They try out new stuff all the time and will kill off a character and replace them with little backlash.

They offed Savage Dragon a while ago and replaced him with his son.

yeah that ending was kind of whack. cool that miles was in 616 for a sec though. I wonder who he is in the 616 universe? So is this cannon has 616 spidey been the only one to cross over to the ultimate universe?

More or less. Ultimate Reed Richards had a conversation with 616 Reed through a device ultimate Reed created. I forgot what it was in though...

Nah, that actually never happened. It turned out Ultimate Reed was actually talking to the Reed from the Zombie Universe.

IDW dropped Godzilla King of Monsters (1-12) first then Goliaths & Gangsters (1-5), and Legends (1-5). Now we have Godzilla (ongoing) and Half Century War (mini). All are self contained. So far the minis have been better than the ongoings.
