There's absolutely no chance of Peter Parker dying in 616 continuity. They tried that nonsense with the Ben Reily shyt that led to that TERRIBLE fukking Clone garbage that brought back Osborn in the mid 90s.

Nothing new. In House of M, Magneto was a benevolent world leader where everyone got their wishes granted and because of them fukking with shyt, it led to the mutant race being nearly wiped out.
Same thing in Emperor Doom, he ended war, starvation was fixed, de-armed every nation, and peace was at long last acheived but they fukked that over too.
The Phoenix 5 started changing though..Namor blew up Wakanda and Emma was going out on murdering sprees. Magik brought her Hell prison on earth..Colossus tried to FORCE Kitty to be with him. Cyclops was the only one who stayed sane until #11.

Cyclops as the Phoenix did absolutely nothing wrong until issue #11 when he killed Xavier and that only happened because Xavier was gonna turn his mind off, it was actually self defense and Cyclops asked him repeatedly to not force his hand.
The major issue about AvX is that the Avengers are being written as the good guys when they have done nothing to help the situation throughout the entire story. They started the war with the X-Men, they tried to kidnap Hope, they were the ones who broke the Phoenix up into 5 parts for imperfect hosts and when they did positive things with the Phoenix Force, they kept attacking them for no reason and poking the bear until they decided to fight back. Cap and Iron Man have really become "The Authority" of the Marvel Universe
