If I had to guess,that was something that Ewing came up with to tie everything together once Gillen made everything about Sinister.
Not something Hickman had planned beforehand. He's said the current story is not were he was going.
Damn. Well at least Ewing had the wherewithall to try and tie things in. Not sure why Gillen took that turn.
Hickman should probably just start another creator owned book Marvel isn't doing him any favors.

The only issue I have is why would Nimrod agree to a deal with Xavier. It would have made more sense, if they had somehow made it Moira did it because he left an idea in her head in the past that she agrees to his deal, and then Nimrod shows up to kill everyone.

Hickman’s problem is as good as he rights his original IP’s just don’t have Mass Appeal. G.O.D.S ain’t hitting. The Best original he ever made in my opinion was the Manhattan projects and lowkey getting the movie/tv rights to estates of everyone involved would be a bytch. Fiction or not.
