Binged the last 7 episodes of Delicious in Dungeon and man, they really turned things up a notch each episode.
Gotta be honest, I don't remember the last time I was pissed at a show like when Fallin got mind controlled and taken not even 1 fukking episode after coming back
They couldn't even give us a couple of eps of wholesome fukkery before taking her away

They really should've let Hickman finish his vision because what started off as an interesting premise has crashed in a ball of flames.

Hindsight is 20/20 and all but yeah, the X-Line drove him out for no good reason in the end
The underlining issue being they are creatively bankrupt and so they became desperate to milk Hickman's innovative premise until the cows came home, fukking up the whole thing in the process.
Meanwhile, Ultimate Black Panther is now the definition of mid.
Nothing bad about it (relative to the last 8 years of solo runs) but nothing good about it either, except for the art.
Disappointing given how well paced the Blade book is by the same author.

Tho tbf, this issue doesn't apply just to the x-men. Obviously unlike manga which mostly have definitive endings, the fact that big-2 comics have an unending time loop means that the dilemma of (for example) "why hasn't Peter Parker evolved from when JMS wrote him in 2001?" will always be an elephant in the room, no matter how many shiny objects like Avengers memberships or spider-verses are brought in to distract us from the interpersonal stagnation.

I was talking on a black panther discord and some cat said that Blade's pacing was such a because it wasn't supposed to last long. Where as this has to be paced to lead up to the big fight with the Maker probably. So it's slowed down. I'll agree the book started hot and then cooled almost immediately.
