Nah, 5G is effectively dead. They were supposed to be releasing those Generation one shots before it officially began, but they just dropped the September solicitations and there's no mention of it:

As far as Death Metal, there were rumors that DiDio and Synder were butting heads on its direction (DiDio wanted it to lead into 5G, Snyder didn't). It's probably not a coincidence that as soon as DiDio got fired, Snyder starts bragging about how much bigger it got.
