the bait and switch stuff is why a lot of people are tuning out of comics. i wonder if this is gonna be one of those situations where they say new host is a better one in every way than peter was, even though he and venom just made peace

And they're just running out of ideas while staying stagnant with any real progression. Flash, Scorpion, Harry's kid, Eddie's kid, Black Widow, Mary Jane, a dozen others i can't recall off top, everybody gets to be Venom or have a symbiote! whooptie-whoo!

Main continuity comics been in a rut right now. Creatively bankrupt.

:yeshrug:I really don’t like the obsession with giving long time non-super powered characters superpowers. I know it’s been going on for ages and characters like Spider-Gwen, Red Hulk, and Agent Venom are popular. But did characters like MJ or Lois Lane really needed superpowers? They can still be interesting characters and important to the plot. Without having superpowers lol, they ruined Betty Ross with that bs. But anything is possible with good writing and execution.

I mean these types of stories always happened. Jimmy and Lois both used to get powers constantly but it was considered one- off stories of silliness.

The idea that anyone except Eddie will ever be considered the Venom is what makes it dumb when they try these shakeup status quo stories

i liked flash' run as venom. mainly because it was a new take on the character and how the powers work. every venom host has been a variant of eddies

Thinking about that arc in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when Jennika mutated into a turtle and was upset that Casey Jones, who she was dating at the time, didn't find her attractive anymore.

bytch, you're a 5'7" anthropomorphic turtle. It'd be weirder if he did still find you attractive. :why:
