That's cause pullups test your RELATIVE strength while the bench is a test of your ABSOLUTE strength.

Its why I focus on calisthenics. First you gotta build up your relative strength. Once that is elite then you can try to max out your absolute strength.
Make sense I should have did it that way but it’s too late

im not following this logic my man.
you can do weighted pull ups. so what does that test again?
additionally its working totally different muscle groups
