Lemongrass, cherries, alkaline water
anyone know what the Botafogo area of Rio is like?
I went there one night when i was in Rio, wasnt quite as packed as Ipanema but it was still lots of people out there and plenty of eateries..probably would have gotten a better idea of the area in the daytime

Anybody ever been to Barbados? or got any recommendations on caribbean islands to check out?

I'm on my way to Thailand, but spent like 6 hours in Hong Kong inbetween flights.

I Just took pics from the airport view of the city, I'll post some when I get to the hotel. It took 14 hours just to get to Hong Kong :damn:

Yeah transpacific flights are no joke. What part of Thailand you going to?

Went down to the Salton Sea. Like no other place I've ever seen. I felt like I was in a scene from an apocalyptic movie.

I miss the feel and soul of Europe so damn much. I love that continent.

Then again I am depressed and feeling very lonely right now, so my clinginess may be confused.

Why do people go to Palm Springs? whats there to see/do there?

Sun, golf, relaxation.

We went because my wife is pregnant and wanted to get a vacation in before the baby comes. She wanted to be able to just sit in the sun and relax. We were deciding between Scottsdale/Phoenix, San Diego, and Palm Springs. We've been to Scottsdale too often and San Diego the weather can be all over the place. Palm Springs you know it's going to be hot and sunny.

As for what to do there. I'm not joking when I say golf. There are over 130 courses in the area. From what we did and what I think people do is you hangout by the pools all day and at night go out for dinner. The close proximity to LA means there are a lot of good restaurants. Pretty much any type of food you can find.

I stayed out at a resort so it wasn't too crazy, but there are a couple small hipster hotels that throw big parties at their pools. Lots of bachelorette parties happen there so if you have game I'd assume you can do well.
