To answer your question, the movie is not coming out until august 8 And I havent seen any early screenings out.

There has been a copy of WE SUMMON THE DARKNESS floating around online for a while now.

It was pretty good. I think @MartyMcFly liked it more than I did though.

@Yahweh Ben Yahweh and @S0ur² have y’all seen the new Grudge 2020, it’s gets at least a 7/10 from me. It actually pretty damn better than I expected.

Saw The Grudge earlier today.

It was fine. Nothing to rush out to see if I'm being honest. It could totally wait for OnDemand or RedBox.
Aside from early on it is basically just like every other CONJURING style horror movie of the last decade.
The most interesting thing about the entire movie is the caliber of cast they got for what is a pretty average supernatural horror movie.
The cast makes things feel more important than they would have been if it was some D-list actors in those roles.

Yeah I love it. It’s clever but not too clever and a good commentary on the time period and legitimately grisly. I appreciated the violence lol

Y’all might be right about the cast- maybe it was the cast that added more depth to the movie had this been regular “unknown” actors. As soon as I saw the main character, (Elise - Lin Shaye) from Insidious, my interest peaked.

Checked out HOST on Shudder and really liked it.

It was shot during the pandemic lockdown and is a tight 1 hour.

When things begin to go wrong they do not let up.
