Nothing new from me this year so far- mainly watching new horror series like The Outsider on HBO, and Evil on CBS- then a lot of Hulu horror indie, b movies, into the dark series, originals and low budget productions. Catching up on older movies from my watchlist accumulated from the last year. That’s been my bag since this year started. I want to see Parasite and I’m waiting for Black Christmas to stream. Ready or Not was decent. Dr. Sleep and Midsommar.

and you are yet another poster that doesn’t like Midsommar
:francis:
is this your first time commenting in this thread? Due to your dislike of Midsommar (which I thought was a engaging movie )We have a vetting process -tell us how do you feel about Rob Zombie?? And who is your favorite- Carpenter v Craven? Wan v Blum?
:jbhmm:

J/k - informational purposes only :lolbron:

Parasite I’ve yet to check out but the baseball guy from train to Busan is in it so I think I might check it out

Also waiting on black Christmas and the trailer for Ready or not looked good in the cinema but I’m thinking it’ll be a case of looks good but is meh so I’ll wait to see it

Dr sleep I really enjoyed I saw this in the cinema, the scene with the baseball glove kid was DISTURBING AF to me just hearing his wails as she hurt him to harvest the essence was super fukked up to me and kinda upset me how the kid got tortured but yeah

I didn’t hate Midsommar I thought at the start after the old couple jump off the cliff I thought okay interesting where’s this going? The concept was there I just wasn’t keen on the execution, okay her bf was a dikk. But did he deserve that fate? Did the annoying friend deserve his? Did the other dude who was doing the same paper on the cult dudes?

Rob zombie is meh really, don’t think I’ve seen too many of his movies tbh

And yeah first time browsing or posting this thread & sub I’m usually just in the booth

Ready or Not was very good. I had the opposite approach - my expectation was that it would be mediocre but it turned out to be a much better watch than expected. That's definitely in my Top 15. For Dr. Sleep - That scene with the little boy was brutal. That's the primary reason why I hesitate to do a second watch of Dr. Sleep - that was extremely graphic, thinking back -they really could have toned that part down a bit and still had the same affect.

This any good?
:deadmanny::dead:These parents legit hate their children - this documentary escalates quite quickly. Threaten your children by disciplining them with serial killer klowns, mom and dad brehs and brehettes
:mjtf: Hire a scary menacing 65 yr. old clown via the internet and Craiglist to scare your misbehaving child into submission and then cry foul when things get out of control. That scary clown was hiding under children's beds, people were hiring him to scare their friends. Imagine hanging out a park and seeing a clown standing there staring at you, not moving.
:mjtf:
They got the police involved and everything. It's worth watching.
:mjlol:
But the fact that this is lowkey child trauma
:francis:
*places call to Wrinkles, the clown
Mother or Father: "my child is acting up, can you help"?
(child screaming in the background.. Noooooo Daddyyyy nooooooo :sadcam:)
Mother/Father to child: "Do you wanna see what he looks like???"
(child, NOOOOOOOOOOO, I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry, I'll listeennnnnn)
Mother/Father: "too late, I told you to behave, you have to learn-"
Mother/Father to Wrinkles: "here's my address, come get this badass kid"

welcome to the thread

Will check out Ready or not then, Yeah that was the only thing during Dr sleep that made me feel a little funny, I can sit through gory/messed up things all day and not bat an eyelid but that’s the first thing in a movie for a good long time that made me wince and be like Damn.

alright I just did a quick look up on rob zombie maybe I spoke to quick.

House of a thousand corpses
Devils Rejects
Slither

All of those were pretty good, Not sure I’ve seen anything else of his horror wise though tbh.

How do you feel on Eli Roth’s movies?

I’ve only Seen

Cabin Fever - I liked it quite a bit

The two Hostels - Torture porn for the sake of torture porn - Meh I can see better gory movies if I want a gore fix

The green inferno - His attempt at Cannibal Holocaust modernised - I liked it for what it was. It’s not great. Cannibal holocaust is a favourite off all time for me
