For anyone watching Hell House 3- Did you get the Faust reference?
Faustian bargain. [ (fow-stee-uhn) ] Faust, in the legend, traded his soul to the devil in exchange for knowledge. To “strike a Faustian bargain” is to be willing to sacrifice anything to satisfy a limitless desire for knowledge or power.

Yup. That was a thing they put there that they didn’t need to but it made for a better movie

October Preseason: Night 1

“Nightmare Cinema” - New anthology, 5 skits with no particular tying-theme. Overall, one of the better ones. Some great segments, some with good writing and painful budget issues. One by Mick Garris, guy who made Sleepwalkers, was just bad.

Also watched Marty Scorsese’s episode of amazing stories “Mirror, Mirror” - his only delve in to horror (unless you count Shutter Island).

Been a minute since I've watched it but I caught Halloween (1978) today. Ugh, such a classic. Beautifully shot, immersive score, and takes its time when building tension. Made me want to catch it at a local Alamo theater.

Gonna switch genres and watch Hellraiser tonight. :wow:
