This is only horror adjacent but a script by Mike Flanagan has been greenlit to make a feature film focused on Clayface from the Batman universe. Idk if people remember Clayface’s intro episode in Batman TAS, but it had horror elements even then.

So the writer of Haunting at Hill House, Hush, and Fall of the House of Usher has a Clayface script that’s getting turned into a film.

Another Friday the 13th this year. :leon:

Time to finally watch Jason Goes to Hell.
I don't hate Jason Goes to Hell...I get why people do, but I thinks it's low-key entertaining as hell. I have a semi-hot take about it, but I feel like it's probably fairly common and it's definitely a spoiler. So, don't peep this until you've watched the movie

I think people hate it because Jason's barely in it. But if it were treated like an original property and the worm/parasite didn't have that Jason connection, it coulda been appreciated as a campy film with a cult following.

Creighton Duke is a great character!

From what I’ve read, Flanagan’s a big fan of the Clayface take in BTAS and seems to be molding this adaptation into a horror of his own. I’m curious who they’ll get to direct it. Maybe they can rein in the amount of monologues. :pachaha:

The way Gunn has been able to keep attaching prestige talent to his projects makes me wonder if there was some truth to the rumors of Aronofsky taking on Plastic Man.

'Jason Goes to Hell' is a top 5 movie in the series in my view.... I appreciate how they delved more into the fantastical side of the lore and from beginning to end it's a rollercoaster... there's no let up... it's a very violent thrill ride. I recommend the Unrated cut of it.

I'm looking for a horror movie from my childhood. It had to have been popular enough to be on cable. The scene I'm remembering from it is a guy I think dressed in all black, possibly a ski mask and he strangles some woman outside with a garden hose.

Anybody?
Been thinking about this for a while now. The Toolbox Murders?

Last night we watched 'Speak No Evil' and it's pretty damn good. You can kind of piece together everything that's going on pretty quickly but I don't hold that against the movie, it wasn't much of a mystery but it delivered in spades with tension and uncomfortable conversations. There's some political statements in here that I was not expect Lol like a certain take on whether it's ok to eat fish or not if you're a vegetarian Lol. I think the thing that will hit the hardest is how much people lie to avoid difficult situations or how people parent their children. It's not a "deep" movie, it just touches on some interesting subjects. Lastly, the best thing about the whole movie is an epic performance from James McAvoy. I wonder how much cocaine was on the set Lol.

Jason Goes to Hell. Yeah, this is just whatever. I found myself bored most of the time during the second act. The melting scene was dope and some of the kills are fine. Solid practical effects.

The whole soul transferring is just :heh: it woulda worked better if the writer and filmmakers pulled it off differently. Like actually build up the Voorhees family line.

The movie title is very misleading. :stopitslime:

The Freddy ending was great. :ooh:
