I watched T.I.M. over the weekend, and I had more fun watching Subservience. The movie has Georgina Campbell from Barbarian in it. Was like a trashy 90s erotic thriller like Sliver or Jade. Not good but kinda fun. TIM had basically the same story but played it safer.

Maybe I, most certainly do, just like bad movies. The franchise I'm watching now has some stinker in it but I'm having fun.

Edit: I think you asked about topics for your horror podcast. I keep forgetting one that I'm interested in. There seems to be some crossover between Bond Girls and women that are in horror movies. Especially in the 80s and 90s.
I had TIM on the agenda, but I had the same cynicism toward that as Subservience, so I haven't peeped it yet. It feels like we're in the wave of repackaging M3GAN, with cheaper versions...and that SHOULD be do-able, but Subservience is a fail for me. It's got no personality.

I'm generally a fan of bad movies and trashy horror cinema when I'm in the mood for it. I genuinely find Margaux (the horror where the house AI is the slasher) to be entertaining as hell even though it's objectively flawed as all hell :mjlol: .

But Subservience feels like it's taking itself too seriously for the lack of polish on it. I know a lot of people that liked it, so I think I'm the outlier on it.

On the podcast tip: I never heard of a Bond Girl/Final Girl crossover, but topics like that would be fun to cover in some kinda discussion format for sure! I'd probably have to take time and really flesh it out, but to find interesting stuff like that and turn them into well-researched topics could be a fun project. Even if it wasn't for monetization, it'd just be cool from a Horror fanatic perspective.

Yea its interesting. The franchise that I'm watching right now is Silent Night, Deadly Night. I watched part 4, and the movie has Maud Adams(Octop*ssy).

I thought about this topic before when I was looking at italian horror movies and their actresses earlier this year. The two names that stood out was Barbara Bach and Caroline Munro. Then I remembered Famke Janssen was in a bunch of horror movies that I watched last year. Then I thought about it again when Never Let Go with Halle Berry came out.

I found a list, and it's pretty stacked.

I never thought about it, but wow. This even misses Halle Berry.

I watched some anime movies over the weekend. Looking to get into Wicked City, Demon City Shinjuku, and Perfect Blue this week. Madhouse looks like they've been on their shyt:whoo:

Vampire Hunter D(1985)

This was one of the first anime anythings I ever watched as a kid. Back in the day the Sci-fi channel played this and Akira all the time. The movie was alright but I don't think it holds up over the years. A major plot point is that all the antagonist keep trying to get in this one girl's pants. The creature designs are still incredible.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust(2000)

I rewatched this for the first time since it came out. This was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I wish they still made R Rated action horror movies like this. This shyt was cinematic. I won't wait 24 years to see this again.

It was crazy I immediately recognized Pamela Aldon's voice as Leila after seeing her in some tv shows. The Gate 2 was pretty wild. I still like the first one more though.

Highlander: The Search for Vengeance(2007)

Yea this isn't horror but I don't care. This shyt was fire too. They finally made a good Highlander sequel. Some plot points I didn't like but the action and story were there for the most part. Again wish I could see live action movies like this. Highlander could also work like a video game. The story in this reminded me a little of Assassin's Creed where you got stuff going on in the past and the future. If they make it like Dark Souls or Devil May Cry when you get stronger and learn new attacks with each quickening you take:banderas:

aight I did watch a real horror movie:lolbron:

The Suckling (1990)

Interesting concept of going to a whorehouse to get an abortion and the fetus becoming a monster to kill everyone. This could be remade today since abortion horror seems to be popping off. This is more fukkery than trying to really send a message. Much more like a Hellenhottor film than anything else, but that might just be the independent movie style of the time. There's a lot of actors that aren't Hollywood in this, and I always appreciate that. At the same time some of the acting was:mjlol:

It was alright. I really liked the creature design though.

all those posted are crack rock :wow:

never seen The Suckling tho :dame:

Famke in the House on Haunted Hill remake was :noah:. The late 90s/early 2000s was her time for sure.

Then Larter shows up and I’m just like :beli:

One of those guilty pleasure flicks where I’m more in love with the concept than what I actually ended up getting. The CGI did not age well at all, but they managed to replicate the head shake effect from ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ which I think you can’t really go wrong with. The shyt is nightmare fuel. That Dark Castle era of horror filmmaking is a throwback though, for better and worse.

I like flicks of people fukking around in places they shouldn’t be and finding out in the most horrific manner. Give me more of ‘em.

Fire, probably the first Hugh Grant movie I ever liked

I watched Lair of the White Worm earlier this year for the first time and enjoyed it. It's like a british version of Fright Night/Evil Dead II. The main villain made the movie fun.

I was gonna say a few more movies, but those were actually Richard Gere or Jude Law :dead: Some actors I get mixed up all the time:mjlol:
