A Villa Straylight.

Decent list, some stuff listed too low and some too high. I’m happy to see Exhuma get love because I feel like it’s not talked about enough with this year’s best horrors.

Anyone seen or heard of the girl with the needle? It’s rated so high and the image looks striking. So I’m curious now.

Exhuma was really good. Oddity was idk what.

I watched some anime movies over the weekend. Looking to get into Wicked City, Demon City Shinjuku, and Perfect Blue this week. Madhouse looks like they've been on their shyt:whoo:

Vampire Hunter D(1985)

This was one of the first anime anythings I ever watched as a kid. Back in the day the Sci-fi channel played this and Akira all the time. The movie was alright but I don't think it holds up over the years. A major plot point is that all the antagonist keep trying to get in this one girl's pants. The creature designs are still incredible.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust(2000)

I rewatched this for the first time since it came out. This was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I wish they still made R Rated action horror movies like this. This shyt was cinematic. I won't wait 24 years to see this again.

It was crazy I immediately recognized Pamela Aldon's voice as Leila after seeing her in some tv shows. The Gate 2 was pretty wild. I still like the first one more though.

Highlander: The Search for Vengeance(2007)

Yea this isn't horror but I don't care. This shyt was fire too. They finally made a good Highlander sequel. Some plot points I didn't like but the action and story were there for the most part. Again wish I could see live action movies like this. Highlander could also work like a video game. The story in this reminded me a little of Assassin's Creed where you got stuff going on in the past and the future. If they make it like Dark Souls or Devil May Cry when you get stronger and learn new attacks with each quickening you take:banderas:

aight I did watch a real horror movie:lolbron:

The Suckling (1990)

Interesting concept of going to a whorehouse to get an abortion and the fetus becoming a monster to kill everyone. This could be remade today since abortion horror seems to be popping off. This is more fukkery than trying to really send a message. Much more like a Hellenhottor film than anything else, but that might just be the independent movie style of the time. There's a lot of actors that aren't Hollywood in this, and I always appreciate that. At the same time some of the acting was:mjlol:

It was alright. I really liked the creature design though.
:ohhh:Highlander anime?!

Impressive! The fact there's not a Horror category in most award shows is some BS. It's way overdue.

This was easily my favorite horror of the year, very much happy for that crew. Expecting for the usual to shake out come Oscar time, different voting bodies and all, but I hope to God I’m wrong. Even a nomination on that stage would be huge.

I keep meaning to download the screenplay because there's so little dialogue in the movie, and I'm curious about how the visuals were communicated. It's such a clever movie for something that's pretty overt about its messaging. I like that because a lot of horror is subtle about allegories, but that's not always necessary.

Started Subservience...I'm an hour in and not a goddamn thing has happened. It's literally an hour of "will he or won't he smash the robot babysitter." How did they managed to drag this movie out almost an hour and fifty minutes? I don't have the patience to find out. If I want to watch a half-assed thriller just for a PAWG, The Voyeurs is right there.

I watched T.I.M. over the weekend, and I had more fun watching Subservience. The movie has Georgina Campbell from Barbarian in it. Was like a trashy 90s erotic thriller like Sliver or Jade. Not good but kinda fun. TIM had basically the same story but played it safer.

Maybe I, most certainly do, just like bad movies. The franchise I'm watching now has some stinker in it but I'm having fun.

Edit: I think you asked about topics for your horror podcast. I keep forgetting one that I'm interested in. There seems to be some crossover between Bond Girls and women that are in horror movies. Especially in the 80s and 90s.
