We saw this last night.

if i didn't have to drive an hour to see this in the theater , I probably would have enjoyed it more.

this movie is just mid - its not bad, its not good, its just sort of there
special FX are good for a low budget horror and some decent kills
(borderline torture porn with most of them, reminded me of the the kills in the original Terrifier for some reason)
How this is a Rated R is beyond ,me, this is a strong NC-17
that car death scene, tho' :banderas:

there honestly is no plot driving this movie
Pooh & Piglet go hard in the paint, but,
the people are just there to be victims and that's about it.
its like they show up , talk, get conveniently isolated and wait to get killed...wash, rinse, repeat,

Oh and pour some out for the dead homey, Eeyore

not that I am complaining , I mean, I watch horror to see people get killed on screen and there is that ,

I was just expecting.......more fukkery, but i think they were probably limited to what they could do budget wise
and even though this is public domain, there are limitations to how properties can be used because of the existing corporate rights.
I mean , Winnie the preh , could have thrown in an exasperated , "oh, bother" for the culture! :russ:

Basically , if I streamed this at home I would have enjoyed it more.
since money exchanged hands and gas was used, I have to be more critical with my reaction.

I am not saying do not see it by any means, but if you were on the fence about seeing it in a theater, definitely wait to stream it.

and dammit, i should have waited on this too

Unrated cut of Megan coming to Peacock on the 24th

and i felt this was the case

Back in January, M3gan’s screenwriter Akela Cooper told the Los Angeles Times that her original script was much more gory and featured a higher body count, but once the film’s first trailer became a viral hit that appealed to teenagers especially, the studio wanted to lock in a PG-13 rating.

Finishing up the Insidious saga. Gotta say I’m not a fan of it. Decent movies, but nothing that interested me heavily. I liked part 4 out of them all. Was really surprised Lin Shaye’s character was offed in the first.

Just found out a part 5 is coming out. I’m sure I’ll watch it in the future, but no rush to do so.

Bro, it was obvious an uncut would drop when they mentioned they cut down on the violence. That’s why I haven’t watched it yet. :heh:

Yes . It was better than I expected it to be considering the horror movie slump that we’re in right now . It worked for me -“ rich weirdo whites do weird deviant shyt”.

I’m up to the part with the kid with the knife. Wtf did this shyt turn into. Much props for the pitch. Did not expect this to be my type of movie based off the trailer but it is.

The thing I give insidious credit for, is that it was the first movie to drop with that haunted house/jump scare formula. The Conjuring came through and did everything better. But the one thing I remember about Insidious, is that it felt new when it first dropped. The sequels fell off a cliff fast though imo.

watched this as well
Spanish flick ,more of a thriller with horror elements
surprising amount of blood, though.
wonderfully shot, decent flick
the dubbing could have been better, so I switched to subtitles and Spanish language

This. I loved Insidious. At that time, we didn’t have a real dread inducing haunted house movie for like a decade besides all of The Amityville Horror remakes and spin offs that they kept running into the ground. Before that it was the “vacation gone bad” movies like Hostel, Eden Lake and The Strangers etc. also helped that Insidious came along during the “paranormal activity” era
