:laff::laff:Yo we need a thread on people just pointing out the fukkery of tubi:laff:
:deadrose:
That means that someone is going to need to actually consistently watch that stupid shyt
:francis:
That’s an idea though to have an official Tubi thread - they have gems from time to time that I missed seeing on the initial release, or older movies worth the rewatch value. I would participate

I have tickets for this evening too. I liked what Brandon Cronenberg did with Possessor and Mia Goth is the new Scream Queen right now so I'm optimistic.

I'm not sure if I'm going to go see Fear this weekend though.
I want to support Black Horror but Deon Taylor's list of movies that he's directed are things I either outright didn't like (Traffik) or fall into the category of unintentionally funny (Fatale; The Intruder).
Oh yeah, Brandon hasn’t really missed yet for me. I didn't like it more than Possessor, but I did come away having a better time with it than his father's film from the past year. While the story wasn’t as focused as I would’ve liked it to be, the visuals and performances especially kept me engaged throughout. The movie still hasn’t left my mind yet, which lets me know it was well worth a watch.

I’m about to peep Caveat (2020) right now though. Saw one still and…yeah, this looks like something I can’t watch at any other time besides the twilight hours. Read one review where someone mentioned it has a moment akin to the diner scene in Mulholland Drive. Immediately sold me. It’s time to get fukkin’ traumatized. :banderas:

Caveat was cool to me. Very dreamy and atmospheric (claustrophobic as hell). But in retrospect, I feel like it also coulda been a lot better with better pacing.
So yeah...i could see a lot of people not liking this joint because it's minimalistic and the story is purposely obtuse. But the sense of dread that it builds is among the best I've seen during the horror drought of this damned pandemic. It's entirely possible that a writer had some cool ideas and just used a vague plot to get from one good moment to the next; but I felt like there was more to uncover and want to dive back in. I won't suggest it for everyone, but I could see a nice following and some serious overthinking from fans. I liked it!

The visuals and acting (Mia Goth owned every scene she was in) were amazing but gotdam this movie was weird as fukk.
Still I give Infinity Pool 3 out of 4 Gun-Totin' Dr. Loomis'

Behind You
patients of a Saint
or inmate zero

it like a cross between Shutter island from the inmates point of view, Contagion and Day of the dead
well plotted
well acted
decent amount of gore
doesn't really drag
and that ending:banderas:

I checked Inmate Zero out last night.
The concept was cool but the film itself was limited by budget and less than stellar direction which showed in every scene. This is another one of those low budget horror flicks that I would love to see remade by a studio with money and better talent.
This scene did crack me up though. :mjlol:

All in all they tried and it was entertaining enough so I give 'Inmate Zero' 2.5 out of 4 Gun-Totin' Dr. Loomis'
