I watched Prey last night. I had a lot of fun watching the movie. I liked how they showed the different levels of predators and prey in the animal kingdom. The scene were the predator kills the most people was pretty bad ass. The main girl was a good actress and I'd like to see her in more stuff in the future.

Prey was awesome. I hope they let the same folks who made Prey either do a straight up sequel with Amber Midthunder as the protagonist or maybe jump to another point in history when the Predators came to Earth.

I literally lost friends when Star Trek 2009 came out
I honestly did not care about the whole alternate reality thing and thought the movie was fine.
I got a call from a college buddy and he ranted for at least 2.5 hours:

I was like you still got all the old shows and DVD's , nothing was taken away and it'll probably lead to new tv shows and stuff.

Alright since it's been awhile since Terrifier 2 came out I can ask thisuspenseful. If you don't want to be spoiled skip my post.

Do you guys like it when the protagonist in horror movies have supernatural powers? The ending threw me off when she got magic powers or at least weirded a magical sword. For whatever reason I can't get into horror movies if the protagonist has supernatural powers. It's the same reason why I can't get into F13 Part 7( the one where Jason goes after a Carrie like girl).

Am I wrong for this? I tried googling other examples but no one has really made a list. They gave The Conjuring, Blade, Chronicle. It's been a while since I watched Chronical but I wouldn't call that a horror more, same with Blade. I don't think Lorraine Warren's powers made the movies less suspenseful.

Wait as I was typing this I remembered NoES Dream Warriors and Dream Master. I think that's a bit easier to buy for me because the powers happen in dreams.

Are there any horror films that you guys can name where the protagonist has powers? Maybe some other movies can help me change my mind.

One of my favorite Friday the 13th movies is Part 7 (The New Blood) mainly because Tina the Final Girl had super powers and the movie was basically Jason Voorhees vs Carrie White.

These Scream films have its way with poking fun at the many tropes in horror. Though this one seems like it'll be poking fun at the grandiose, bizarre shyt slasher franchises tend to do whenever its allure is exhausted with the general audiences, i.e. Jason Takes Manhattan - radically changing the location of a franchise in attempt to breathe life into it. Anyone peep Jason's iconic whisper at the end of the trailer?

There's Something Wrong With The Children
I enjoyed this one despite its flaws. I also thought there was something wrong with the creepy ass kids in this movie from the second they showed up on screen. I need to have a talk with someone involved with this movie about the character of Thomas though because I have so many questions.
I give 'There's Something Wrong With The Children' 3 out of 4 Gun-Totin' Dr. Loomis

Snow Falls
Absolute garbage. The idea that a bunch of aesthetically pleasant looking 20-somethings would go insane from hypothermia while being stuck in a big ass vacation home that lost power for like 24 hours is goofy as hell. Plus no one in this movie could act worth a damn.
I give 'Snow Falls' 0.5 out of 4 Gun-Totin' Dr. Loomis'

I want to watch Candy Land.

too much build up - its like the wine drinking scene lasted about 10 minutes (like really)

I think its implied that Ellie enjoyed that mentioned "foursome" way more than they put on and it turned her out and he couldn't handle it, breh was ...off the whole movie

just added with the children vs no children aspect to make it current.

this is not a bad movie, just slow until the end.
