Thanks for the warning on Snow falls, its at the bottom of my backlog now:
I watched There's Something Wrong With The Children
Man
there's something wrong with this movie -
the first hour is.....just dull
The children
parasite things
were great
The grown ups ,not so much
too much build up - its like the wine drinking scene lasted about 10 minutes (like really)
and for Thomas
I think its implied that Ellie enjoyed that mentioned "foursome" way more than they put on and it turned her out and he couldn't handle it, breh was ...off the whole movie
like i mentioned in an earlier post,
Elements from the 2 films below are used heavily in this one
just added with the children vs no children aspect to make it current.
I got that Thomas couldn't handle his wife enjoying having sex with the other dude at the foursome but my real issue with the character is that we see him go into the woods with his "daughter" and we are supposed to assume he is dead even though we never see what happened out there then Thomas shows up to make the save for Margaret and then we once again don't see what happens to him.
Now skipping the silliness of Thomas telling Margaret to get in the truck and rive off when he had knocked "Ben" down and could've got into the truck with Margaret, why was Thomas' fate left so damn vague in two separate instances?
Would it have blown up the movie's budget to actually someone killing Thomas?
I’m talking about ghostface with the mask on, in his attire - I’ll wait.
Not ghostface unmasked or revealed.
That’s why the spin off movie was called “Stab” not “SHOOT”
Turned Ghostface into a mass shooter because 2023. Bad enough for the setting to take place in NYC instead of the suburbs like the original. Might as well be an entirely unrelated movie. I’m not feeling it.
What difference does it make if the killer uses a gun in their civvies or in the Ghostface costume? Guns have always played a major part in the Scream movies so I'm not sure why seeing Ghostface in full regalia pop a cap in someone is such an issue. Besides it's not like Ghostface is strapped as a rule; the shotgun was introduced by the convenience store guy and Ghostface just decided to make use of it since it became available.

maybe if they trimmed the wine scene down they could have filmed a decent exit for him
but seriously , i think it had a lot to do with the mental states of the people the "parasites" affected it seems to call out to the kids and they respond quick , they offed all the adult women they could with the quickness, Ben was on lithium and easily influenced. I think Thomas could not be controlled or just influenced a little because he was just....normal and pissed/depressed. Its implied he just sacrificed himself (which made no sense) unless he thought he was turning more slowly than the others
Violent Night is 8/10 - it’s like Home Alone if it had an R Rating and murder + Die Hard mixed with a brick of cocaine = this movie.
Spoiler:
Cleansing Hour (Shudder) - 7/10
Pale Blue Eye - 6.5/10
Mediocre. Extra slowwwwww pace, psychological horror, the build up wasn’t worth the payoff. By the time they got to the “twist” ending - I wasn’t invested enough to care and lost interest. It was more like “oh ok”

But all of the movies in this franchise end with Ghostface unmasking and using a gun.
Every. Last. One. Of. Them.
Why does the killer using a gun a little bit earlier cause so much consternation?
Blood Jess, a separated and nurse who moves with her daughter and young son Owen back into her old farmhouse. Shortly after settling in, Owen is bitten by the dog, resulting in a mysterious infection from the bite.
Alone At Night After a bad breakup, a young woman retreats to a remote cabin and continues modeling for an adults-only, livestreaming website. However, she soon discovers she's not alone as a masked killer begins to stalk and terrorize her.
