But all of the movies in this franchise end with Ghostface unmasking and using a gun.

Why does the killer using a gun a little bit earlier cause so much consternation?

How many times do I need to repeat myself here. Ghostface doesn’t use a gun, the people who are later revealed as Ghostface do!!!!!

No one knows who Ghostface is until the unmasking - that does not equate to Ghostface himself having a Blicky. Ghostface is a stabber he uses a Damn knife or something, he doesn’t shoot. This is a slasher series.

the tv show is a go , but Victor Miller has to sign off on the film or its a no go

I've read that Victor Miller hated the idea of Jason as the killer which is why he has been so obstinate in his refusal to work on a movie with anyone. I get his criticism of the idea that Jason being alive kinda undermines the primary motivation for Pamela but that could be worked around with some creative writing.

GHOSTFACE running around NYC with a shotty, like the NYPD won’t clip him on sight. What borough was this filmed in? Real realistic moves by the scriptwriters- hardly an inconvenience

Damn right I can’t wait to see what a catastrophic mess this movie will be- it’s worked out so well for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Craft, Black Christmas, Chucky, Halloween Ends, when scripts and concepts totally inject new audiences and ideas, unlikeable characters, and weapons that don’t mesh with the authenticity of the origin storyline

If they can't use Jason, but CAN use the hockey mask; I could see an opportunity to make it work. But that's a really tough needle to thread.

I saw an ad that said "if you liked Battle Royale, you'll love this..." and rolled my eyes. But I also went to check the trailer just in case.



So...I see the BR vibe but that's a straight up classic that spawned a global phenomenon (this is a Hunger Games joke that's too vague to land). This looks like it could be campy fun though.

I feel like this was one of the better "short movie gets expanded to a feature length film" to drop recently. It was wild and the twist ending was fun.
