Hellraiser Hulu is confusing asf!!!! I was sitting here trying to fit the puzzle pieces of this movie together -but I’m lost. Did I need to watch the og Hellraiser to understand what’s going on?? Between the Pinhead chick and the teeth monster, the resurrection .. sighhh. @storyteller @Lootpack @Lord_nikon i have questions - can someone explain this to me like I’m 6 years old - it’s going over my head. I was an hour in last night- up to the point where Riley’s boyfriend gets hurt, their UK accented friend is killed, and the mansion is locked behind a metal grid to keep out pinhead and her squad. Riley’s Boyfriend is laying in the couch and the owner of the mansion stops lurking, reveals himself and his body is hooked up to a contraption

I have no idea :pachaha: Just think of it as,, some evil genie in the lamp type shyt but with demons ((((lmao))) .....:jbhmm:

Top 3 2020 pandemic era movies besides Host and Spree:

Bad Ben: Pandemic

:francis: :deadrose:

Alive

Props. Tried to rep but told me slow down. Gotta peep Bad Ben right after this dead stream. Already watched the other two and they were good. This dead stream is the corniest dumbest most enjoyable movie I ever watched for a chill mood. Hope Bad Ben picks it up for me.

Thanks.
If Deadstream is anything like Bad Ben, I need to add that to my cue.

BB franchise is Low budget Goofy ass movies lol if you’re in a low key mood for it - it’s funny bc each movie (except for the one not starring Him) is like his descent into madness, featuring him slowly being defeated, then getting up the will to fight, and finally acceptance - going through the 5 stages of grief off a haunted house and a stalky clown. Bad Ben had 2 pandemic movies actually- Haunted Highway and Pandemic .

This highway installment- he’s found footaging himself talking about how he ran from the house, couldn’t pay for his car bc he couldn’t recoup off the house, his mortgage defaulted and ended up getting repo’d, so he ends up eventually buying his car back from auction to start ubering. Only to end up getting passengers that need a ride to a party at his old haunted house.
:mjlol:

He can’t decline the rides bc he needs the money.🤭 Fukkery ensues😂

Last movie is basically “ f it. I can’t escape these demons, let me just flip this into a ghost consulting business via zoom “. But he doesn’t have the patience for it with people asking for help and each call makes him more aggravated- on some “oh well, dumbass, can’t help you, you’re gonna get murdered .. next caller”
:deadrose:
Brehette recommendation here but I liked the Bad Ben franchise - there’s about 8 of those movies in the franchise.
:dead:
Low budget asf but it’s supposed to be like that intentionally with the found footage aspects. Really dry deadpan humor, very sarcastic - no patience, bugging out and half of the time dude is just talking to himself in his haunted house mad at the world being scared treating everybody like their stupid :laff::deadmanny:
Once you go down the Bad Ben, Badder Pen, Baddest Ben etc etc rabbit hole- it’s addictive. It’s not for everybody but it was hilarious with the comedic twists and had enough jump scares. It’s like Paranormal Activity, Amityville in a New Jersey suburb plus the heavy accent with the New Jersey humor. Then dude ends up thinking he’s a paranormal expert based on his experiences which is what the latest eps are. It’s basically an intentional/unintentional part parody depending on which show you watch,

Here’s the list- best to wAtch in order. But it’s not that deep where you have to.

  • Bad Ben: The first film
  • Steelmanville Road: The prequel to Bad Ben that explains the history of the house (skippable- wasn’t that good)
  • Badder Ben: Tom Riley is back, this time with a documentary crew
  • Bad Ben: The Mandela Effect: Tom Riley experiences similar horrors in different parallel universes in the same house
  • The Crescent Moon Clown: New owners of the house deal with a mysterious presence
  • Bad Ben: The Way In: Tom Riley is hired by new owners to clear and cleanse the house of its entities.
  • Bad Ben: The Haunted Highway: Tom Riley takes up a job as a driver for an Uber competitor on Halloween and ends up in paranormal shenanigans.
  • Bad Ben Pandemic

The Bad Ben Series by Nigel Bach is the Film Experience You Have Been Waiting for - Wicked Horror

This was low key very entertaining. Found footage horror seems to be making a resurgence due to the pandemic. Had a few good laughs and jump scares off this bc it doesn’t take itself too seriously, low budget but it all works. 8/10. (You don’t need to watch the previous Bad Ben (Mandela affect) series of releases but the twist ending might make more sense to you if you do) I’m a fan of the series but this franchise may not be liked by everybody.

Here’s the prequel.

Franchise Review – Bad Ben (2016-2019) | 6 Films
The “Bad Ben” series is really taking advantage of this pandemic and being inside. Pushing all these ground footage movies out. I’m here for it though - they have me hooked in.

“Tom Riley has a new job now as a ride share driver for the DropUOff service and the strange new experiences he has driving his clients on Halloween night 2019 are all captured on his dashcam, body cam and surveillance cameras. Among them a young woman carrying a suspicious parcel, a witch and an unfriendly scarecrow.”

:deadrose:
Dude has THE THICKEST central New Jersey accent that I’ve ever heard but that adds to his reactions in the movie.
water = worrtahhr
Tom, job, what, ask = “Hi, I’m Taaahhmm, I gawwtt a new jabbbbb, doing whittttt you might asssq”

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Sam Raimi Reportedly Directing Remake of Creepy Doll Horror Classic 'Magic'

Legendary horror and superhero movie filmmaker Sam Raimi has been tapped to direct the remake of Sir. Richard Attenborough's 1978 creepy doll thriller, Magic.

It and It: Chapter Two producer Roy Lee revealed the news about the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness director's involvement in the remake while appearing on the podcast Post Mortem with Mick Garris. Lee revealed that he and Raimi are far along in the process of getting it to the production phase. "I’ve only worked with [Sam Raimi] as a producer on films… actually… the first time I’m gonna work with him as a director is on a remake of Magic. Which is something that we’re working on now. The Anthony Hopkins movie," Lee said. "We’re just actually hearing the final versions of the different takes from writers next week. [Sam] loved the original movie and the book written by William Goldman."

This is probably the best thing to come out of Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness; it gave Sam Raimi the itch to start directing again. Welcome back, GOAT based Raimi. Now bless us! :blessed:

The fact that HBOMax still doesn't have Tales from the Crypt on its service is downright criminal. Damn those rights issues. Luckily, I've still got the boxset though. Physical media still matters, brehs & brehettes.
My young Saturday nights weren't complete if I didn't catch Crypt Keeper:boss: crackin at fools gettin gutted up from their own FUKKERY:ahh:::banderas::ufdup::hubie:

I must say that the streaming services really upped their horror movie/series content this Halloween season.
:whew:

A list compilation is needed for each one- as I get time I’ll post up updates for HBO Max, Peacock, Paramount +, Hulu, Shudder and even Netflix

TUBI is too much - compiling any lists from Over there is like a full time job.

Finished watching Speak No Evil earlier. This movie is fukked, but I dug the overall message. Director meant it when he said he wanted to make the most unpleasant experience possible. It basically illustrated my thoughts on what would happen if I continuously ignored my gut instincts.

What makes this film even more infuriating is how the hosts provide the parents with a plethora of opportunities to escape, but them dumbos missed out on or blatantly ignored such creases.

They’re very compliant, even in response to their own child. Agnes got me all the way fukked up. There’s no way I’m headed back to that couple’s house to search for a plush rabbit.

The scene when the unthinkable happens (the mutilation)…I legit felt sick to my stomach and would’ve spat out my drink if I had one. It’s very plausible for people to react like these two did due shock and utter hopelessness. Makes me wonder what the audience reception was like at the theaters and festivals.

It’s wonderfully acted despite the dumb decisions the main characters keep making. The tension building in this actually makes me want to watch it again sometime. I’m skipping out on the last act though. :whoa:
