Fam, you really hit the nail on the head with my issues with the film and the lack of progress in that length of time. You're right that I should be more optimistic about it too though,

But that said, I think you're right on with It lacking replay value off run-time and I think this will end up like that. I'd imagine the big fans will still jump back to the original and Hellraiser 2, while more modern fans will throw on something with more popcorn value. I've got my fingers crossed that it drives a bigger push to make more with genuine budgets though. This was a solid remake, and it opens to door to someone coming in knocking a sequel out of the park.

Run time is no go for a re watch for this one
I already got 1-4 in my que for the weekend

It's been over ten years. Reboot the franchise or give us Scary Movie 5.

There have been 1000s of horror movies since the last film.

Now would be a perfect time to make another Scary Movie. With Requels they can involve the og cast and that'll be enough to get people interested in watching the movie. I don't know how interested everyone would be with returning. Those type of comedies (Airplane/Naked Gun/Spoof movies) also aren't being made so it could work against or for the movie, idk.

Just bring the Wayne Brothers and Anna Faris back
Add some folks like DC Fly Young and Pete Davidson, some young randoms a chance
Make it an exclusive for HBO Max

Make the parody's main focus on the Conjuring series (including characters with their spinoffs), Halloween, Hereditary or Midsommar

That could work. I'd like those three plus Regina Hall to return. I think they could still use Scream as the main movie like the 1st one and spoof the new legacy sequels/requels.

I'd think one funny scene would be them talking about which Scary Movie is cannon, or they remember being in. Basically them using their movies to make fun of the Halloween continuity between all the sequels and reboots.

Deadstream was a blast. :russ: A nice poke at streamer/influencer culture that’s rampant in today’s age. Crew behind it had to have been influenced by The Evil Dead franchise because a lot of the humor was crazy similar to what Raimi would put out. Take out the comedy and it would’ve been the run-of-the-mill, found footage flick that I’ve seen too many times before. Glad it did it’s own thing.

Main lead was intentionally grating on the ears, but he grew on me later on. Dug how they actually kept him as a clout-chasing fiend throughout. :myman: The livestream chat felt like its own character, lol. Some of the comments that popped up had me crackin’ up and were dead accurate to what you’d find on Twitch.

:dead: at the Mildred & Beef cams.

It’s a low budget project that still manages to be spooky. The abandoned house it takes place in was fairly creepy, could definitely see Michael Myers marking it as his brooding grounds. I see one of the directors here already has a segment on the new V/H/S…will definitely be checking it out. 2022 really is the year that keeps on giving.

What's the horror movie that either recently came out or is coming out where social media influencers are trapped in a house and each round the person with the lowest likes dies.

It's not deadstream and it's not bodies bodies bodies. I know the trailer was in here but I forget the name:snoop:

Sounds like Skill House. There’s another joint that came out a few years ago called Funhouse that shares a similar premise.

Yea it was Skill House. After looking it up i remembered 50 was involved and the guy that wrote it did Jigsaw and Spiral. I remembered because people were saying it looked like a saw movie.

Thank you. Doesn't come out until next year. I thought it was coming out this month.
