I don’t know what’s worse about The Munsters - waiting for certain someones to talk their ish about the movie or the fact that Lootpack and Jello were right in their predictions or my levels of fanerry coming back to bite or the fact that I’m replying to myself so no one else has to

:mjlol:
Embarrassing
:sadbron::dead::scust:
I'm hoping the hate Munsters is catching will give Zombie a bitter, angry next film. Get him back to his bread and butter, with wild characters messing people up.

You must watch The Void - I think this is among one of the first movies that I posted about in this thread 3 years ago when I was in my “alien, earth invaders, alien abductions” horror movie bag of phases.

Facts, Storyteller… just facts.

Idk what type of cartoon shyt RZ thought he was doing. I should have known as soon as I saw the pg damn 13 rating for a Rob zombie movie- 😭. Trying to make the movie more mass appealing and marketable FAIL instead of doing movies for the fan base who actually rock with his movies
:hhh:
Movie looks like it was filmed with a bright green slime filter from an IPhone 6

Zombie needs to never make another movie that’s part of an existing franchise again (besides maybe TCM). He’s good at making one very specific type of movie. So if he’s making a movie about something other than violent inbred white trash, he’s either gonna ruin it by making it be about violent inbred white trash, or he’ll just make a trash movie. Which is what sounds like happened here.

I actually liked Zombie’s Halloween movies, but I don’t care about his original content. :unimpressed:

Haven’t seen Corpses and Rejects since they dropped, so maybe my opinion will change if I watch again. :ld:

Those are my top two RZ movies. His first Halloween has grown on me some over time, I still really don't like his second one. I think the Firefly family trilogy is his best work, because he's good at creating twisted characters and then having "normies" encounter them for chaos. His plotting and writing is mid, but his characters and situational stuff is really strong. I WISH he'd pair with a genuine writer that can connect the scenarios he constructs better.

The TCM suggestion from @Flex Grossman definitely adds up. His older stuff used to give me a Natural Born Killers Vibe which would work nicely folded into a TCM universe.

RZ H2 is definitely weak compared to the first.

Been saying that RZ needs to do TCM for the past 4 years. Not like the last one on Netflix could be remade any worse that it has. RZ needs to do a Hills Have Eyes re-imagining. But Captain Spaulding was also a main component in all of his movies - I think without him, RZ lost the motivation. Munsters would have been a different type of movie with Sid Haig. Like I said, Rob had a good run, he’s a movie legend, - it’s time to accept that his creativity and loss of feature characters like Sid and William Forsythe who is also in most of his movies, this doesn’t hit the same. I didn’t even know who the f a lot of these actors in The Munsters are.

I watched the 70s version over the pandemic, it was on Shudder. That movie went from unintentional comedy to real dark, creepy and twisted downward mental spiral of Hopkin’s character as the movie progressed.

Come to think of it, parts of Magic were like The Joker.

That’s one of the best teasers I’ve seen. Remember watching this one years ago and backing out of it early. May have to right that wrong soon. Sounds like my kind of movie with the way you’re describing the latter half.
