You saw Scream.. :wow:
I’m still waiting for the stream
:mjcry:
I should have dubbed Texas Chainsaw and went to the movie theater to see Scream, had I known it was going to be so bad. I have Night House on deck rn.
I re-watched Scream over the weekend and aside from one scene that irked me, I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time I saw it in the theater.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Night House despite the fact it starred Rebecca Hall who's face I do not agree with.
Did not like The Night House that much. I think I’m burnt out with the slow flow psychological horror build up looming tension type movies.

Rebecca Hall’s facial expressions ughhhhh. She’s not ugly but looks EXACTLY like her dad but has her mother’s smile. Which the resemblance to her white euro father is kind of disturbing. I liked her in Awakening. Tragic “octaroon” tales in her background. Read that her mom and their side of the black family didn’t let their darker skinned family members visit during the day for “fear of exposing” themselves. And her family had a very sordid history of trying to “fit in” with white Society by any means necessary. Never would have known about her background had she not discussed this openly, so I respect her off the fact that she’s vocal about who she is rather than project an image within the industry and never denied her blackness. But I feel like she plays the exact same character in horror/thriller movies. For years. Like if they need a racially ambiguous angsty monotone, stoic, overly facially expressive actress- she’s on the call sheet.

:damn:Holy shyt this shyt From on EPIX started with a bang. Listen to your mother brehettes.:mjcry:
This.
“FROM” is the Best watch of the movies/series that I’ve watched this entire weekend. Loved it so far. Very interesting first 3 eps of the series. It’s the perfect combination of psychological + supernatural + survivalism + tension and it’s not predictable.

and bonus that it has a strong black male in the lead as the de facto town leader, contains no damn zombies and no vampires. Sooo sick of seeing zombies as the background characters in series.

Sissy

Cecilia (aka Sissy) is a successful social media influencer living the dream – until she runs into her teen BFF Emma for the first time in over a decade. Invited away on Emma’s bachelorette weekend, Sissy finds herself stuck in a remote cabin with her high school bully…and a taste for revenge.

I had no clue that Aisha Dee was Australian. She does a really good job of hiding her accent.
