Why u say that?

Arent 5.56 the bigger grain and more lethal?

At that point it' really a argument of science. .223 is means cheaper ammo. You can put 5.56 through a .223 chamber but again, Why? What exactly would a nikka need to? At that point you'd be spending more money just to spend more money

Lol ur confusing me breh im a lil slow so walk w me now.

5.56 has the bigger grain correct?

But .223 is the cheaper round right?

Id rather spend money for the bigger grain personally but I was asking u if .223 is worth the squeeze. Does it have as much STOPPING Power as a 5.56? School me on the 2.23

I will pay for more stopping power.

7.62 x 39 or 5.56?

I like 7.62x39, that is what I shoot and .308/7.62x51 (nato)

.223 and 5.56(nato) are basically the same. The main difference is that 5.56 has more pressure than .223, it's just like .308 and 7.62x51. They are basically the same, but the 7.62x51 has more pressure.

You would want to get a rifle chambered in 5.56 (nato), so you can shoot both .223 and 5.56.

If you get a rifle chambered in .223 and shoot 5.56 ammo through it, the pressure of the 5.56 will damage the .223 barrel.

Just like .308/7 62x51, you would want to get a rifle chambered in 7.62x51, so you can shoot both.

.223 and 5.56 both lethal and the price difference between .223 and 5.56 is due to the pressure and marketing/brainwashing.

If you want more stopping power, go with the 7.62x39

You right bit what are you doing with it is my point?? With a rifle, how much "stopping power" you need? You shooting elephants?:manny:

I honestly don' know the science between the two. My rifles aren't my first home defense weapons and I just shoot them just to shoot until I get into hunting... @nikkahs B. Wildin might can give you more info

U need it to a certain extent, 5.56s dont drop grown men all the time so if a 5.56 aint always dropping everybody while a .223 is the weaker round then where does that leave the .223...

Thats why Im gettin a AK so I can have some take down power while I have my 5.56 chambered AR for accuracy... thats just me

And this is for shyt hit the fan scenario.

But yeah home defense i wouldnt touch a rifle. Whats a good shotgun? (I havent got one yet)
