The kill animations are very gratifying

The dodging in this is easy af too I don’t see why people are hating on it. It seems to me the devs changed it up from every other game with a dodge mechanic and people are shytting their pants

I don't know if melee combat as a main means of defense is a good component of a survival horror game. After the first couple close encounters, I feel like the fear leaves you when you know your character can shoot the fade with the monsters.

Feels like the combat is the opposite of RE 4 and 5 whereas instead of stunning the enemies by shooting them and then doing a suplex or punch you knock them around and then that gives you a shot with your gun.

I think a lot of people just don’t know how the gameplay works I’m seeing a lot of complaints about the mechanics or maybe they prefer what every other game does. I like it though

Sony does have marketing rights to the release

I'd like to blame incompetence before malice for why the game runs like crap on other platforms. but I think it's clear Sony paid for marketing rights, and that went beyond just showing a trailer at their SOP

Game had prime time commercials during the UFC fight last night. It’s clear sony treated this release as very important to them.

Without the sony push it woulda been just another mediocre indie game.

They got with sony to convince you goofys to spend $70 on what should have been a $40 game at best.

I see why they shunned gamepass. That sony stimulus package comes with loyal fans that will buy your shyt for $70

It would be cool if people gave all games the benefit of the doubt they gave this one. Console war stuff aside, people really really should just try a game that looks interesting to them regardless of the reviews UNLESS it's a buggy unplayable mess.


What's fun and acceptable to you might not be to the gaming journalist or review site, that has a dozen games lined up to play through and review.

Scores aren’t bad.(sony stimulus) I usually enjoy the 75-85 games more than the 95 ones

It’s what’s being said in the reviews that’s fukked up.

7 hour Extremely linear campaign, very few weapons and combat options, lame story, Clunky controls, crappy combat, broken checkpoints, bugs, stutters, crashes on all platforms, all for $70 and they still talking about selling “death animations” as DLC

I struggle to see why this game even deserves a 75 compared to other games in that score range..

This is a decent game so far, I'm about 5-6 hours in. My only big complaint is the checkpoints. Would rather not collect shyt I've already collected when the game reloads. What's the point of the manual saves?

It looks great, combat and movement is a bit awkward but you can get use to it easy enough. I wouldn't recommend it for full price, people just gotta know what they're getting themselves into before buying and they won't be disappointed. Perfectly good game on sale

I can see the logic they used....

They feel that it's more tense to be in CQC combat with enemies being in your face than shooting enemies from a distance.

Condemned is a series everyone loved and it was a melee combat focused horror game
