Maidana was carried for 2 fights.. The same Maidana that sent that Ohio c00ns career into such a downward spiral to the point where AB stans now have to prop up Maidana bum ass off GP
Like I said wee seen Pac use Floyd own signature move on Floyd twice in their fight.. Oh that's right, when Floyd uses the counter it's boxing mastery when Pac does it's out of sight out of mind

nikkas cant even give Maidana props for setting a trap on Mayweather without adding in extra hate
Regardless of your opinion on him as a fighter, the fact remains he had enough of an IQ to adjust, mid-fight, to a signature move from Floyd and bait him into throwing it so that Maidana could land a clean right hand. That was smart...and something the likes of Provodnikov or a Matthysse has not shown in their arsenal vs a fighter the level of Money Mayweather.
there was only one other guy i ever saw counter floyd's pull counter.
who would have ever thought it would be carlos baldomir. if you are a fighter who is coming forward, the idea should always be to throw your punches, let them counter, then counter their counter. marciano was that way. thats how he knocked out walcott, well, it was how he knocked out a lot of guys.
marciano throws a jab, walcott throws a counter, marciano counters the counter. does marciano know that walcott is going to try to counter the jab here? sometimes when you roll the dice you win big. boxing is strange that way. marciano beat up a lot of guys who were "smarter" than him because he knew that. and they, for all of their smarts, didnt.

they'd have to punch down. he'd have to punch up. if they can move, and they'd better move, they can beat him. if they cant or wont, they will have to find a way to beat a guy who wont stop trying to hit them. and he will hit them. on the arms, on the hips, all over. if you stand still for him, but you cant knock him out, then you have to worry about out working him, and you'll never beat him by outworking him. if you play keep away on him, you can use your size and try to run him into something. lets say that, a deontay wilder does better against rocky marciano than an anthony joshua, because wilder knows how to fight like a true big man, and joshua doesnt.
heres a couple things to think about. a tall fighter has to jab down at a shorter fighter. because he has to bring his jab down low, that lets the shorter fighter come over it.
heres big nino valdes jabbing down at bob satterfield.
if a tall fighter and a shorter fighter trade a pair of right hands, the shorter fighter is at an advantage because the tall fighter will run into the shorter fighters right hand, whereas the shorter fighter will go under his.
heres mark breland and aaron davis trading a pair of right hands.
tyson fury really likes to get hit with these.
a tall fighter can come over a shorter fighters jabs real easy. you dont have to set it up, you dont have to get fancy, all you got to do is drop it over the jab. he throws a jab and all you got to do is punch down. real easy.
hopefully that helps you to visualize some of the things you would see happening in those kinds of fights.
Does it matter? I like maidana but these losses are for real..he lost a war to khan and got schooled in one sided fashion by devon..its amazing what the Broner win and Floyd fights have done in terms of how maidana's career is viewed
|Well Manny is not atg since he was getting slept by jabs, slept by random jobbers, had 7 ls, 2 draws, and about 4 gifts......But slight a fighter for losing to Khan where Khan was turning his back and literally running in there, or a fight with a rugged devon where chino aint give a fukk about the sport and was thinking retirement
Matter of fact wasnt Manny ducking the shot version khan last year, you bytch ass fakkit
People forget Broner had atg defense pre maidana, muthafukker was throwing lead hooks, timing, catching and dropping broner, Floyd aint even throw a leaping left the last ten years of his career.....Chino destroyed broner all around offense and defense.....Chino changed Floyd whole style going forth as well

Men lie women lie numbers dont, although I never believed his skillset, and he had a few gifts, statically Broner was one of the best damn defensive fighters ever by numbers and plus minus
It matters except if you seriously believe the same version who lost to Devon by a shutout also the one who gave Floyd one of his toughest fights ever.
His improvemebt with Garcia was obvious and it showed in results too
He outsmarted him
Its clear as day lol
I don't no what the big issue is
Maidana was a late bloomer
Not gonna just ignore what he did vs an undefeated broner and Floyd.
It was impressive
