Damn training with PBL is what gave Kovalev all that extra boxing skill out of nowhere. Lets hope they don't train together anymore.

You agree that winning 4 championships over 4 weight classes is easier to do today.....when Adrien Broner is the only fighter who's debuted in the last 10 years who's done it?

To me Ward-Kovalev was a much bigger fight than GGG-Lemieux based on both fighters status and two top 5 PFP. Granted promotion was garbage.

GGG did 152k, so Ward-Kovalev did 10-15k more. a about what I was expecting. I was thinking it would get 175kand was hoping boxing fans would show out for a good matchup and it would 200k +.

The most amazing thing to me is still how Ward got $5 million and Kovalev only got 2. Word was that the Roc Nation Broner contract rumors were fake...maybe it wasn't with they way they pay Cotto and Ward.

We also need to remember half the PPV revenue goes to the TV company.

Loma is an infinitely more exciting fighter than Rigo is...and that was proven in both of their last 2 televised fights. Cuban fighters are the worst to watch imo.


SOG, Crawford, Floyd are far from boring fighters though. How a certain section can praise Loma/Frampton for skill but not SOG/Crawford/Floyd/Andrade/Farmer is ridiculous to me bc they are the same type of fighters imo.

100% percent breh. I have never heard anyone ever say Rigo isn't talented. Dude is a boring fighter and many of his career droughts without a fight are his fault.

I would care about Rigo if I felt dude actively wanted to fight 3 times a year and if I didn't think he intentionally tried to make fights boring.

Ward got $7 million for the Kovalev fight. The more numbers I've seen, the more I realize how much promoters and managers rob fighters.

i blame anthony joshua for all this fukkery, he got that man paid something serious (8 mil ) and aint been the same after that fight. he got shot, and now with nose ring looking like shanaynay off martin,smoking and talkin about how to be a better person and breaking the shackles i wish that man the best in 2017 and hope he don't fuk up.
