Well, Stevenson is not signed to any network, so for them to push for a joint HBO/Showtime PPV is kind of pointless, when Stevenson CAN fight on HBO with 0 issues while Kovalev can ONLY fight on HBO.

My opinion on this entire situation is: They should at least do a 60/40 split in Stevenson's favor for him to fight on HBO PPV....he is the Lineal Champion and all. If he turns it down, then that's on him and the "Chickenson" name will forever stick. Imo, he's ducking Kovalev, because there is 0 reason for him/his team to push so hard for Showtime when they don't have an exclusive contract with them. It's a charade to hide behind.

I disagree with this, but I don't know...Im not a Canadian:heh:
I agree. Probably the only way and the best solution I have heard is to do 60-40 Stevenson and let HBO get the television rights. That works for me. Newzz will get this fight negotiated through twitter, while everyone else is copping pleas. :myman:

Why was the Wilder thread deleted? @patscorpio :dahell:

It was some useful info in there and a good interview....if you had a problem with the title you should've changed it or let @Master Teacher change it back to the original title.

that infamous fagot deleted it, he start changing the titles trying to diss me, I made a thread to call him out for abusing his powers and he deleted both threads

So he deleted a interesting & legitimate thread because a poster disagreed with him? Sounds real objective. :coffee:

A thread surrounding a baseless/unfounded rumor is a legitimate thread?

Only reason I deleted the thread was because he was calling the mods fakkits. I wanted to lock the thread title (so he couldn't edit it). I tried un-locking the thread right after, but I couldn't do it. It wouldn't let me, it says: 'You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action.'

Mods get called fakkits everyday b. :martin:

If you have thin skin...maybe you're not cut out for the position.

And the thread was an interview thread about Deontay Wilder...part of the interview was him talking about fighting MMA guys...we put 2+2 together in the thread and hypothesized that it was Cain that he fought, based on him being a champ which Wilder mentioned...couple that with strange body language in a interaction he had with Wilder in another video, which made for an interesting discussion...problem????

You coulda at least put some question marks by the title or something...or replaced the title with a more objective title instead of deleting the thread just because you caught feelings over some harmless internet banter.

It was a baseless rumor. Wilder said the HW was 300 pounds. Cain is 6'1 and walks around at 240-250 pounds. Nobody would think he's 300 pounds. It obviously wasn't him.

His argument was that dual network PPV is bad for business and should only be done for mega fights. Basically said if this type of fight garners dual PPV, then every fighter will want that.

Personally I don't see the big deal of that...it is only needed for cross promotional/network fights and those fights aren't being made anyways, so if that is what had to be done to make fights than what is so horrible about it?

That said, Espinoza did say he thought the fight didn't deserve to be on PPV at all.

I want PBC to save us all. It would be crazy to see all fighters defect to PBC, basically have their own union type thing going on. Then they could put regular fights on free networks and something like Stevenson-Kovalev could be an upgrade to HBO/Showtime, and then they could be like which one of y'all wants to pay us more to show this fight. That would be :blessed:. The fact you have fighters who want to get in the ring, but business people holding it up (and these are profitable fights), gets so frustrating.

So which is it?

Did you delete the thread because you were called a fakkit...or because the hypothesis expressed in the thread didn't line up exactly to what you believe? :martin:

I'm not 100% how it works....but I think HBO wants it on PPV so they can get their hands in the Canada PPV...that's the only thing that makes sense since this fight won't sell well here at all...GGG Lemeuix had to do 150k... N Superman Kovalev purses will be more so they'd have to do like 300k which won't fukking happen
