breh its a thread about deontay wilder allegedly knocking out cain velasquez lol.....infamous edited the title as an unfounded rumor..then he and master teacher got into it because they were changing the thread title back and forth insulting each other..that led to him deleting it

And @Master Teacher's thread shouldn't have been deleted imo...I'd resurrect that thread asap if I could
he typically does not touch the boxing threads unless its something crazy that i didn't get to and vice versa...but cain velasquez is not a boxer breh and it wasn't a straight boxing thread

it prolly can..that thread to me was like whatever.. but i dont like stepping on other mods toes...it can be edited or posts pulled out and resurrected but thats on @The Infamous
I understand why they would need a mod for the MMA threads...but boxing dominates this subforum...90% of the threads on the front page are boxing threads and the main boxing thread is 5x bigger than the MMA thread...a MMA mod shouldn't have any authority over boxing threads...nor should he have EQUAL authority.
So he deleted a interesting & legitimate thread because a poster disagreed with him? Sounds real objective.

I agree that seems fair. However, it did leave out how they intend to show the fight: which network.
According to friday's chat wrap, Dan said the sticking point was whether it would be on HBO or HBO/Showtime joint PPV.
Stephen Espinoza tweeted out he didn't think it should be on PPV.
Dan agreed and offered up that Stevenson doesn't have a specific network contract and Kovalev does, so it is easier for him to play ball on any network.
At this point no one seems to be trying hard to make this fight. The way that played out is it seems like HBO will only do the fight on their PPV, and Stevenson will only do it on joint PPV, and Showtime doesn't want any PPV. So no one is on the same page?!
After the fight Dan tweeted that Montreal reporters told him that if Stevenson-Kovalev were to take place in Montreal they expected Kovalev to be the crowd favorite. Is Stevenson really not liked like that there? I knew people were saying that Pascal was more popular than Stevenson, but that is surprising to hear.

Well, Stevenson is not signed to any network, so for them to push for a joint HBO/Showtime PPV is kind of pointless, when Stevenson CAN fight on HBO with 0 issues while Kovalev can ONLY fight on HBO.
My opinion on this entire situation is: They should at least do a 60/40 split in Stevenson's favor for him to fight on HBO PPV....he is the Lineal Champion and all. If he turns it down, then that's on him and the "Chickenson" name will forever stick. Imo, he's ducking Kovalev, because there is 0 reason for him/his team to push so hard for Showtime when they don't have an exclusive contract with them. It's a charade to hide behind.
