I would rather see Wilder vs Arreola than Browne, Glaskov, or Thompson.

explain....already beat stiverne. same caliber....ummmm c or d fighters.

fat overweight never in shape chris who went 10 rds with an unknown jobber while amost losing.....#harperheros:troll:

ive also heard wilder tried to make the fight before but chris camp said no.

matter of fact, carlos takam is who he should fight to get him ready for povetkin. if u lose, u wasnt going to beat povekin anyways. if u win you gain valuable experience .:manny: but he probably want a guranteed check with povetkin , fury, josh, or wlad. he aint tryna mess up his money.:manny:

Watched Vargas/Quartey last night. Man, I'd truly forgotten how it seemed like Vargas' destiny was to be one of the all-time GOATs. In his 15th fight in just his second year as a pro, is IBF superwelter champ knocking off Campas, and then beating Marquez, Winky, and Quartey back-to-back at 20-21 years old :mindblown: There aren't a lot of fighters who are that accomplished in their first 20 fights.

That 21st though :demonic:

The shame of it is after that debacle instead of falling back and building him back up he gets in their with Oscar, and I really think it's the build-up, result, and aftermath of that right that ruined him for good. He really started buying into the tough guy shyt and never fought intelligently again. This dude went from being too polished, sleek, and skilled for Winky and Quartey :ahh: to losing decisively to Mayorga in a garbage brawl :dahell:
Tito ruined that boy...but it was a slower decline than david reid.. he wasn't one of my favorites but I'll never shyt on him ever...dude talked shyt, was mean, fought anybody and backed it up

Uncertain grounds
Dan Antonio...hypothetical four man tourney for the status of all-time great middleweight. First semifinal is SRL vs Roy Jones Jr....second semifinal is SRR vs Marvin Hagler. Who ya got??

At middleweight, Roy beats SRL and SRR beats Hagler and the final is Roy vs. SRR. I'd give a Roy a great shot but I guess you gotta go with the p4p king of all-time, SRR.

nah i want no restrictions...i want him to be truly free to face nikkas on a fight by fight basis until haymon co promotes

The only fight left for him at TR HBO is Rios or Bradley rematch

The nikka blocks errything with his face so if Im his team I take him to Allah get paid N prolong his career a few more fights...shyt Angulo still fights N he been shyt...plus prov would gets to work with a shyt load more fighters

Imagine these blood baths
Guerrero vs Prov
Figgy vs Prov
Molina vs Prov

Then the fights with top tier PBC
Swift
One Time
Khan
AB
Maidana
Porter

toney, hagler, hopkins and roy should be 4 man tourney.( for current 80's to 90's greats)

but you would have to include monzon if you going for all time.

its all fantasy and speculation though so it really doesn't matter. just an opinion.

Saw this link from the Ward/Calzaghe thread and read this.... from a 2007 FLoyd Sr. interview with fighthype
http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content841.html

PC: We already talked about the Lil Floyd/Hatton fight.

FM: Yeah, that ain't nothing to talk about. As far as Lil Floyd Dancing with the Stars, you heard what Zab Judah said the other night, didn't you?

PC: No, I was actually at the fights and didn't hear his commentary.

FM: They asked him, "What did he think of Lil Floyd dancing with the stars while preparing for Hatton?" He said something like, that night, Lil Floyd better hope he not dancing with the stars. I think Lil Floyd can Dance with the Stars and whoop him (Judah) and Hatton in the same night. shyt, Ricky Hatton stopped Kostya Tszyu who made Zab Judah see stars and dance with them.

Yea vargas was a special dude I was just watching an old rerun of Tuesday night fights and they had vargas on there, it was against Romallis Ellis who was an olympic Bronze medalist and title challenger with a record of 24-3-17 KOs...Vargas facing dude in like his 10th fight:skip: and got him out in two:ehh:

sadly most folks remember him only by those losses to Tito and ODH, and the shane mosley/Mayorga mess...but he was a top notch dude:ehh:

Dude gave him hell(Tito/ODH) till he got his soul taken both times...Prime vargas was done for, those fights took years off dude and he wasnt even in his late 20s yet..:wow: and was probably embarrassed so he got on that super tough guy shyt said like you said, and got away from his boxing (Which he was pretty good at for a power puncher)

Kovalev: If Andre Ward is ready to fight me, then let’s do it!

By Dan Ambrose: IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (27-0, 24 KOs) says he’s ready to face WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (28-0, 15 KOs) whenever he is. Ward had been talking lately in moving up to 175 to face the big names in that weight class like Kovalev.

After Ward’s recent 9th round win over Paul Smith this month, he’s been quiet about whether he wants to move up in weight or hot. Ward’s trainer Virgil Hunter says that he’s going to think it over before he moves up or not because there are still big fights that he can take at 168 without having to move up in weight yet.

If Kovalev is serious about wanting to fight Ward, then he’ll need to get past his next opponent Nadjib Mohammedi (37-3, 23 KOs) on July 25th at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. That shouldn’t be too much of a problem for Kovalev, but you never know. Mohammedi is a big puncher and he could get lucky by landing one of his big shots on the chin of Kovalev.

“I’m ready to fight anyone,” Kovalev said to the revewjournal.com. “I want to fight the best. If Andre Ward wants to fight, then let’s do it. I would welcome that very much.”

Ward was shaken up by a right hand from Paul Smith this month, and he might not want to trade shots with a slugger like Kovalev, who is capable of hitting Ward all night long with better power than the punch that Smith hurt Ward with. If Ward takes that fight, he could find himself tasting the canvas.

Ward can talk about moving up in weight and potentially finding success at 175, but actually doing it is a different thing altogether. Kovalev is a killer puncher and he’d test Ward’s chin again and again and again if he were to get the fight.

The fact that Ward couldn’t stop an average fighter like Smith until the 9th round suggests that Ward would need to be able to go 12 rounds if he wanted to best a guy like Kovalev. The negative thing about going 12 rounds with Kovalev is that he’d have many chances of scoring a knockout over Ward. But even if Kovalev didn’t KO Ward, he’d punish him badly with devastating shots, and that would create a lot of wear and tear on Ward.

At 31, Ward might not want to take that punishment. He has a good gig in working as a commentator with HBO, and he rarely fights at 168, and when he does, he’s not being tested due to the weak opposition in that weight class. If Ward stays at 168, he can possibly get fights against George Groves and James DeGale.

It’s also possible that those fighters will choose to avoid Ward for the remainder of his career. Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler chose not to fight Ward again after he beat them in the Super Six tournament. It’s possible that Ward could wind up wasting his time waiting for more fights that will never happen if he chooses to stay at 168.
Kovalev would ko him
may would wipe the floor with him.....nikka just on a different level.
