I'm not slighting your Bud, pal. Those type of weak ass flurries have bushed; Cotto, Margarito, Shane and other fighters. IDKSAB, however the only time we've majorly disagreed ya mans Peterson got his equilibrium evaporated boss? My point was BUD is not good enough defensively to block those types of flurries, let alone do we know if he has the chin to take that kind of strong counter? I think Crawford is a very good prospect, what he did at the end of the 5th round of the Dulorme fight with his hand feints to set up the 1-2 that starched Dulorme was brilliant. Top half of the p4p list? IDK plehboi. I do he's not ready for Tim let alone Manny

the flurries he threw at Floyd were not the same as the fighters you mentioned. Manny was frustrated and just trying to land. he didnt have any power on those shots.
Bud is not a prospect. He is as ready as he will ever be to face the top tier guys. if he aint ready for Bradley then he should retire right now. not sure why Bradley gets overrated so much here. the guy is not levels about anyone else at 140-147. he just happened to get 2 fights with Manny. if Swift or Kell Brook went the distance with Manny twice, they'd be viewed in the same light.

Keith Thurman Wants Kell Brook’s Belt; “I Got An ‘O’ And I’m Not Afraid To Let It Go”

Keith “One Time” Thurman took a moment to step away from Mayweather-Pacquiao talk to discuss his own dealings within the sport. Thurman seems primed for stardom, so it isn’t a question of if he will get to fight big names, but rather which big names and when.

This time around the focus was on current IBF Welterweight Champion, Kell Brook and Thurman reiterated what he has been saying for years… anyone, anywhere.

“Man, you guys already know I wanna fight anybody and everybody man. I got an “O” and I’m not afraid to let it go. I wanna fight the champ. Kell Brook is in his prime. What’s the boy, 29 years-old?”

He continued to talk up the undefeated British champion.

“He’s a strong welterweight, a true welterweight and he understands the game. It’d be a great fight for all the English fans and for the sport of boxing in general.”

I would love to see this fight. With the old guard on their way out, the sport of boxing is in transition. After decades of reflexively saying names like Mayweather, Hopkins and Pacquiao when speaking about the best in the sport but right now we are in the middle of a generational shift within the rankings.

It’s time for the young guys to step up and begin making the fights that will allow them to separate themselves from the pack and ascend to the upper echelon that the “old guys” have already left behind, or plan on doing so in the near future. With the skills, personality and resources he has behind him, Thurman is poised to take his next step toward superstardom. All he needs now are defeats over great opponents like Kell Brook to help him get there.

Keith Thurman: I want Mayweather, I'm different than Manny Pacquiao
By Scott Christ

"I don't care if Floyd beats me. I want to fight the best. I know I'm a dangerous man. I'm different than Manny Pacquiao. I'm bigger, I have more head movement, boxing skills, all around movement than Pacquiao. I think me and Floyd Mayweather would be an excellent fight."

Keith Thurman is certainly an ambitious fighter, and while he praised Floyd Mayweather's Saturday night win over Manny Pacquiao, he also made clear that he wants to face Floyd in September, and that he still feels he's got the tools to give the pound-for-pound king a challenge.

"I told everyone I favored Floyd in this fight, and it was a beautiful match," Thurman said immediately after the fight. "Floyd is very hard hit, he is the world champion."

When asked who he thinks Mayweather (48-0, 26 KO) will fight next, Thurman (25-0, 21 KO) said, "The Money Team has to have something in mind. I'm pretty sure he's going to want to finish off his Showtime contract and still hopefully put together an exciting fight for the fans. Whom he's gonna fight, we don't know."

But when asked if he wanted the fight still, he was his usual, more colorful self.

"You know I want to fight him, baby, especially after seeing that beautiful performance, man. I told you guys, I have an 0, I'm not afraid to let it go. Floyd's beat everybody. I don't care if Floyd beats me," he said.

"At the end of the day, I want the experience. I want to fight the best in the world. I know I'm a dangerous man. I've told people, I'm different than Manny Pacquiao. I'm bigger than Manny Pacquiao. I have more head movement, boxing skills, in-and-out, all-around movement than Pacquiao. I think me and Floyd Mayweather would be an excellent fight."

You think Crawford survives getting countered like floyd did and the 15 punch flurry that followed? Bud would have been bushed. Hilarious, ATG boxer of the era Floyd has to put in work to beat Manny but young crawford is only a slight underdog against manny? :dahell:

I dont understand it myself breh:heh:

Pacquiao: Mayweather Knew I Was Hurt, Pulling My Arm
Posted by: Edward Chaykovsky on 5/4/2015 .

By Edward Chaykovsky

On Saturday night, Manny Pacquiao revealed he was battling a right shoulder injury in his unanimous decision defeat to Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao said he hurt his right shoulder in training some three weeks before the bout, an injury he says was so severe that he was considering postponing the fight.

He had hoped to receive an anti-inflammatory injection before the fight, which he said he had done with the approval of the US Anti-Doping Agency during training. But the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which oversees boxing in the state, denied permission for the shot.

Roach had claimed that he booted out a mole in their training camp. He never identified the person. Mayweather's close friend and adviser, Leonard Ellerbe, said he knew everything that was going on in Pacquiao's camp.

“Freddie Roach thinks he runs a tight camp, but I know everything that’s happening there. I heard it’s been a very rough camp," Ellerbe stated a week before the fight.

Pacquiao believes Mayweather knew about the injury, claiming that Floyd repeatedly grabbed his right forearm during their fight.

"He knew, he knew about it," Pacquiao told Filipino reporters, while grabbing his right forearm. "I'm positive that he knew. Because of that leak. They knew. Do you see him pulling me by my arm? Because he knew. Did not he pull [my arm]?"

Manny Pacquiao Feels He Was Sabotaged By The NSAC
Posted by: Ronnie Nathanielsz on 5/4/2015 .

By Ronnie Nathanielsz

LAS VEGAS—Eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao made some serious accusations against the Nevada State Athletic Commission a day after he lost a unanimous, 12-round decision against undefeated pound-for-pound No.1 Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Pacquiao alleged he was disallowed from injecting what were classified as numbing agents in his injured right shoulder even though it had earlier been cleared by the US Anti Doping Agency and was legal.

The Filipino ring icon suffered the tear in his right shoulder in training some three weeks before the fight, forcing him to take a week off from sparring, which trainer Freddie Roach claimed was because he didn’t want him to over-train.

Pacquiao, who normally never complains even if he is robbed of a decision like in his first clash with Timothy Bradley, which he avenged with a dominating performance in a rematch, alleged that the news of his injury had been leaked to the camp of Floyd Mayweather Jr., whom he accused of often pulling his arm during the fight.

A review of the fight video appeared to substantiate Pacquiao’s claim, while it also indicated a gross understatement of the unofficial punch stats churned out by CompuBox, which was heavily in favor of Mayweather.

It was clear that after Pacquiao hurt Mayweather with a wicked left straight and a flurry of punches, the shoulder injury recurred, forcing him to effectively fight with one hand.

Claiming he was “sabotaged” by the NSAC on the night of the Fight of the Century, Pacquiao claimed the Nevada commission approved his use of numbing agent injections after his camp submitted a request two weeks before his fight, only to be denied on fight night.

In a conversation with the media at his hotel suite on Sunday (Monday in Manila), Pacquiao revealed he had even gotten rid of his sparring partners early after he suffered a tear in his right rotator cuff during a sparring session.

He said the doctor told him to rest his shoulder for anywhere between 30-40 days, which made him even consider seeking a postponement of the fight.

Pacquiao said he considered postponing the fight, but opted not to after the USADA approved the use of anti-inflammatory injections of drugs that were legal.

“I didn’t want to dismay the fans that it was so close with some three weeks before the fight,” said Pacquiao, who spoke in Filipino to better express his feelings. “We all talked. Freddie, even Buboy who even cried... if I can’t, we talked about it. But if it heals, if it recovers, it’s okay, let’s just not use it in training then on the night of the fight, it will be injected with the numbing agent. It’s not a steroid, but it’s legal here, for numbing. The problem is we were sabotaged.”

Steve Carp of the Las Vegas Review Journal reported that aside from the injection, Pacquiao even claimed his supplements and water were prohibited from his dressing room – a first in his career.

In their defense, NSAC Chairman Francisco Aguilar told reporters after the post-fight press conference that they were aware of the request for the injections, but that no injuries were disclosed to them at the weigh in or on the medical questionnaire.

Aguilar admitted his decision to bar Pacquiao from taking the injections, which are reportedly effective for six hours because it was too close to the fight, which was supposed to happen within 90 minutes.

But Pacquiao said he didn’t believe Aguilar and alleged there were media leaks about his injury three weeks before the fight..

A clearly disappointed Pacquiao said: “Someone leaked it from the gym.”

He also said Mayweather himself knew of his injury weeks before the fight and took advantage of that during the fight.

“Did you see when he was pulling my arm? Because he knew. He was pulling it, did you see? Because he knew (about my injury),” Pacquiao said. “I felt like a needle was penetrating my bones. I really needed that shot because if I throw a power hook or power jab, it hurt. We filled it out, but also I’m so disappointed because for the first time in my boxing career, more than 20 years, they held my vitamins, they held my water (from) the dressing room. This is new.”

Pacquiao left Las Vegas on Sunday afternoon, returning to Los Angeles for another MRI. He said that even if his shoulder requires surgery, it would only sideline him 2 to 3 months.

Maybe it's because his only loss is to MP? Swift or Kell 'euro fighters pad my resume' Brook on BATB's level? :mjlol:

:mjlol: at Crawford being a prospect.

:what: at Bradley beating the shyt out of anyone. (When's the last time that happened?)
Let me rephrase, a p4p prospect, as he's already had fights with ; Dulorme, Beltran, Burns and Gamboa aka nobody near the p4p list. Where did I say beat the shyt out of? Bradley would out work Crawford to a UD, I feel without having to dig too deep.
