People shyt on Broner, but I felt he had better moments against Chino than Floyd did. He at least visibly buzzed Maidana about twice. Floyd never did that.

this....I been tryin to get nikkas to see this. styles make fights. AB did more damage offensively his defense just wasnt up to par. Floyd won his fight on defense and that damn jab to the body was in full effect! :whew:

The point of good defense is to stop you from taking a lot of damge or getting KTFO.. Floyds ring generalship was ass compared to most of his fights.. It wasn't until AFTER Maidana got winded in the second half did Floyd start to take control... If the Power shot looks like its landing to the judges who aren't watching from a TV screen zoomed in at High Def.. Then yea someone landing those type of shots(partial or not) can win.. Why do you think Floyd got two draw scores in his last two fights?

thats your problem. you are comparing this to his other fights when he only fought one Maidana. his ring generalship was good enough to tire Maidana out. Floyd got draws because when a fighter wins rounds against a fighter who normally doesnt lose many then he gets more credit for how well he did according to his abilities as to how effective he actually was. if Floyd was hurt or his head was getting snapped back, thats different. I hear what you are saying about the judges but its all subjective as hell. SRL said when he beat Hagler it wasnt that his punches were harder but they sounded louder to the judges. and what happened to the judge that scored the last fight a draw?

In the post-fight, Maidana did not say that Floyd didn't fight like a man. He said that Floyd has never fought a man like him, it was just terrible work from the translator.

good call

once again...thats the basic premise. Floyd uses defense in a myriad of ways. one is to set up his opponent for counters. he does this by not only blocking but pulling his head back to slip. his defense is his offense. he has a catch-and-counter style. defense aint just about covering up breh :snoop:

right. again. like @LauderdaleBoss said. paper vs ring. Swift dont fight in an aggressive style like that because that opens himself up to danger. its a good fight in my eyes. its not really as easy to be AB as people think. Paulie's hand speed was a problem for him but I said it would be before the fight. and Maidana is a tough nut. I would favor Swift but its a good fight.

Yeah, that's what Im saying.

Garcia is a good fighter, but so is Broner. Garcia may be a little bit better and even though I would favor him in their fight as of today, demolish is too strong of a word imo.

Garcia is a slow puncher, not aggressive in his punching output, doesn't use too much movement = favors Broner

Broner doesn't move his head enough, stands right in front of you, hard to hit clean, but when he does get hit...its over the top and flush = favors Garcia

Garcia can drop Broner and is a very good counter puncher (which means counter left hooks will be served up, plus over the top lefts). Broner can beat Garcia to the punch and dictate the pace of the fight do to Garcia liking to wait on his opponent to press the action in order to counter.

Real good fight and one I'd like to see. Garcia would be my pick today, but I wouldn't be surprised if AB won:manny:

Chinos stamina was alot better vs Floyd

Vs AB Chino had jus started working with Ariza N he gassed towards the end badly

Floyd was ripping shots to Chinos body (AB never did) N Maidana was still energized

this is true. if his stamina was like that in the last fight, he'd stop AB. (given he fought the same way)

Floyd had to check that nikka in the press conference too. Worst translator ever.

Mayweather said to Maidana, next time we fight, don't hit me in the dikk so much.

Maidana's response: Okay, next time let me use my gloves.

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s

:what:
I know the ring generalship was good "enough" thats why I scored the fight in favor of Floyd and yes it was ass compared to most of his fights. Only made that observation to make a point of how close the fight was compared to his other fights at WW..

The bolded is not even conjecture.. its bullshyt.. If Floyds opponent wins a round the judge can give them all the extra credit possible the score is still only gonna say 10-9 whether or not he was dominant or he barely skated by in that round..

we got four elite fighters now boys:

Manny, Floyd, Maidana, Canelo :jawalrus:

Floyd Mayweather, Andre Ward and Guillermo Rigondeaux are the only A+ fighters today.

Manny Pacquiao is an A fighter...hes not at their level anymore.

Canelo is B+ at this time, lets see how he does against Lara (I expect him to win, but if he dominates him....he's an A fighter)

Marcos Maidana is a B fighter who currently fights at a B+ level with Garcia and Ariza in his corner
