Alot of parallels here.

A long time dominant, seemingly unbeatable p4p king being dragged into a dogfight that he wins clearly. But looks extremely vulnerable in the process. Fans proclaim "robbery" because they're not used to seeing them in that type of fight and demand a rematch. Said p4p king gets KO'd in the rematch.

"got any excuses tonight Floyd" :damn:

also both guys guys were coming off impressive performances. roy beating ruiz and floyd beating canelo.:ohhh:

Them Ariza Shakes turns boys into men:youngsabo:

I don't know what he puts in there, but I don't see why more fighters don't hire Ariza. Obviously, whatever he's doing is working.

This is not the same Maidana who lost to Khan, Kotelnik, and Alexander. Floyd couldn't even hurt him and besides the slight gassing, this dude just kept on coming. Floyd's body shots didn't do no real damage:damn:

I think Chino's body shots were the reason why Floyd's had no steam. I think he took alot outta Floyd with some of those punches.

:what:
I know the ring generalship was good "enough" thats why I scored the fight in favor of Floyd and yes it was ass compared to most of his fights. Only made that observation to make a point of how close the fight was compared to his other fights at WW..

The bolded is not even conjecture.. its bullshyt.. If Floyds opponent wins a round the judge can give them all the extra credit possible the score is still only gonna say 10-9 whether or not he was dominant or he barely skated by in that round..

not true at all, not sure how long u been watching boxing but I seen this shyt over and over again. similar to the champion receiving the benefit of the doubt a lot of times fights are scored with the heavy underdog receiving the benefit of the doubt in the close rounds because he did better than expected. if a fighter who rarely loses rounds suddenly is in a round that is close benefit is swayed using conventional logic that said fighter must not be in control or winning. Max used to point this out all the time. its not even a judging thing....its a human thing.

Looking forward to see FightScoreCollector's results. Says article has been submitted and waiting for it to get posted.
He got 112 scorecards from media at the fight....without a person by person breakdown yet, average of all 112 scorecards was:
Mayweather 115 - 112 Maidana

Which is why in the first place I said Floyd was lucky the fight didn't end a draw or close in Maidana favor.. For this very reason.. Judges could've given Maidana more of those close rounds..
