Byrd-Williamson...I remember watching this fight in my dorm with the
1. The ref was ready to DQ both of them for non fighting
2. James Toney ripped the shyt out of this fight (and insulted Chris Byrd's wife)
I was so disappointed. I was rooting for TOS to take that belt off Byrd but these nikkas just had to be friends and shyt
Bryd is one of my all time favorite boxers and I can't front, that was one of the worst fights I ever saw in my life. Even then I think JMM/Gainer was an even worse fight to watch than that one,but its close.
at two heavyweights playing patty cake for 12 rounds. I've seen slap boxing matches at the corner store that were more heated than that fight. TOS didn't want to take that fight to Bryd, so he stayed on the back foot playing keep away like he was going to win a boxing match. shyt, McCline and Bryd were friends and that nikka came out trying to take Chris's head off. We gotta pretty good scrap out of that one.
