So Nas aint listen huh, because his training style didnt translate to his style; he was a come forward stalker, why the fukk are you trying to turn him into a boxer, when he is touching nikkas and having them fall out like a preacher..............................................

actually he wasnt trying to turn him into a boxer....Manny only asked of him one simple thing. he was trying to get the timing down for the straight right hand down the pipe against MAB but Steward said they could never get it down in camp because of the sparring partners were all fukked up. if you dont have the appropriate sparring you cant get the timing and more less rely on lucky punches.

also as a sidenote. when MAB lost to Morales, he had a comeback fight with Valbuena. he struggled and Manny Steward said that Naz was gonna knock MAB out because MAB looked slow and vulnerable. MAB came back against Salud and looked brilliant and Steward started saying afterwards that Naz was gonna have problems with MAB and it was going to be a difficult fight to win. Whether he said that because of how MAB looked in the fight before or he knew things in camp werent going right.....he did a total 180 in between two fights and Naz ended up losing and basically retiring. (I dont even count that Calvo fight as his retirement fight)

it matters a damn how hard you can hit if you cant land the punches you need to land. Naz didnt have the timing down and got outboxed.

he made Wlad into a boring fighter but kept him from getting put to sleep on a regular basis. he made Wlad and Lennox into safety first boxers, even though it wasnt as fan friendly as their previous styles the chit was necessary because they had shaky beards. they still got put to sleep with Manny but had he not been around....they'd been KOed more times then they were.
