The one question I have is how much is Garcia vs Donaire. Garcia has his brother Mikey with pretty incredible boxing skills and Donaire is looking straight with his boxing skills right now. A change could be good. Wonder if going to someone like Roach and just maximizing your offensive potential and put the boxing skills on the backburner.

It's not Robert Garcia, it his father that has Mikey performing at an elite level...... before then, Mikey was basic as well. The right guy isn't getting the credit here.

Donaire has always relied on his superior athletic and physical abilities, going with Roach is honestly a great choice, he's not going to be transformed into something he's never been.

Obtaining a belt at a division is great, it really is, but it should only serve as a launch pad towards better competition because let's be honest... being a defending champion is not that impressive if who you're facing are unknown and undeserved fighters. Thing is, unless you're a mega star most people won't recognize you nor give you a second look if you're not a "champion". That word holds prestige, and with prestige comes a bargaining chip to face better fighters or simply get more lucrative offers.

This is the result of no national commission to regulate these sanctioning bodies. Years from now, it will get a LOT worse.....
