Spence first knocks Broner out cold, then drops Floyda boxer who has brushed the canvas once in his career on a body shot? Which happens to be what Floyd is best at defending against.
IDK seems hard to believe

Exactly breh. It's like, if he's capable of running through 2 of the best undefeated current champions, including one who's already a Living Legend/Boxing HOF lock.....and the other being Floyd Mayweather, then why does he only have 6 fights right now?

They should be rushing him to the front of the line and getting Errol paid and a belt around his waist. Instead, he's just a sparring partner:rudy:

From what I remember too, after the Broner-Spence rumor had run the rounds the truth police started digging and no one could come close to even verifying it. It seemed to be one that went the way of myth, rather than a likely possibility. At least that is how I saw it reported.

@Jae I don't know how many boxing circles you are inside of or how many people you know but if I threw out some names, could you dig up any info on where they are and what they're doing?

Errol Spence Jr. speaks on his rumored sparring session with Adrien Broner

It’s well known that rumors in the boxing world spread like wildfire.

The latest bit of intrigue circulating around several forums and various social-networking sites claims that reigning WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner recently had a rough go of it in sparring with talented 2012 Olympian Errol Spence Jr.

Reportedly the incident took place at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, where Spence, a junior middleweight prospect with a 4-0 (3) record, has been spotted training ahead of his May 3rd showcase at the Cosmopolitan Resort Casino.

The only problem with that rumor is that Broner doesn’t train at the gym when he is in Vegas these days, as he instead has been spotting simply soaking up the atmosphere of the gym the last few times he was in town.

Catching up with Spence recently, he dispelled the notion that he and Broner had gone rounds recently in Vegas.
“We didn’t spar at all,” claimed the 23-year old southpaw.

However, it should be noted that Spence and Broner have sparred in the past. At the time Errol was still an amateur, as the two men traded leather at the USOC Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

During a recent interview with Barry Hunter, courtesy of ThaBoxingVoice.com, the respected trainer confirmed seeing the two men spar, but denied reports that Broner had gotten knocked down or out.

“I was there,” Hunter stated. “No, he never knocked Broner out or nothing like that there. He got caught with a good shot.”

Spence agreed with Hunter’s assessment of the action.

“What Barry Hunter was saying was right,” said Spence. “He was on point.”

Spence is as humble as a kid as you will find in the game and it’s obvious that he isn’t looking to draw any further attention to the incident.

Concerning his relationship with Broner, he insists they remain close.

“We’re good friends,” stated Spence. “I talk to him all the time.”

As far as life at the Mayweather Boxing Club these days, the gym again has a special aura to it, as Floyd Mayweather continues to train diligently for his May 4th bout with Robert Guerrero, set to take place at the MGM Grand in a Showtime pay per view attraction.
