I thought the fight between Canelo and Trout was a hotly contested battle, but I thought Canelo deserved to win the fight. The scores, however, were a fukking atrocity, and almost desicrated and completely ruin a good night for two young stars.

Canelo showcased his power, but he took his foot off the pedal at times, got a little cocky, and at some points let Trout back in. He does that shyt against Floyd, he will get EMBARRASSED.

Count on it. :smugdraper:

I'd be shocked if Canelo vs Floyd was made in September

Canelo wants his own PPV this September which will most likely be Cotto....which is perfect for Canelo he gets a big name opponent N an easy fight to look great.... plus PR vs Mex on a Mexico holiday

Not to mention Canelo vs Cotto > Bradley vs JMM as far as ppv sales go which sticks it to Arum N HBO:jawalrus:

Mayweather stays busy vs Alexander

Canelo murders Cotto

May Day 2014 the hype will be strong N do huge numbers

Errybody eats
:blessed:
As much as that Alexander fight disgusts me I'd have no problem with this plan...

I don't care when he fights Canelo, could be 5 fights from now for all I care...My whole thing is he should fight the kid, don't duck him and give the haters more ammunition...

Then whats the best possible fight for him that can actually be made?

He can't and won't fight nobody on TR roster...

I'm all ears breh...

Like Skip said, the winner of the 140lb tourney is better qualified. Martinez is better qualified. You get things twisted. I dont doubt that Canelo at this stage would be a big fight for Floyd, and more money.

My problem is everything thinking he is so much better than Guerrero or the JWW's or anyone in the JMW division. The kid is an average fighter but people have him stamped for greatness. I said the same thing about Cotto. He was supposed to be the next Tito. I told people that guy wasnt that great of a fighter. I admit, Cotto may have turned out slightly better than I anticipated, but still....I dont see him as an All Time Great. I dont see Canelo being as good a fighter as Cotto though.

I agree with Martinez being much better qualified, In fact I already told you that's the fight I want to see but it's likely not going to happen due to hurdles (network contracts and possible weight issues)...

That said I struggle to see how the fukk Matthysse or Garcia is a better matchup than Canelo...Garcia and Matthysse are even more overrated than Canelo...Yall shyttin on Canelo's skills in here yet think a dude who had trouble with Zab and Devon is going to come up 7 pounds and give Floyd a legitimate challenge? :comeon:

and Danny is just as flawed and raw as Canelo...He's a stiff, slow one trick pony with a big left hand...that's it...I'd rather see an Ortiz rematch...at least Canelo got a size advantage, power in both hands and the handspeed to keep Floyd honest...

I don't think Canelo is great or that much better than these dudes, he's an average pressure fighter at best...The kid can't even cut off the ring properly...He is severely flawed fundamentally and way too inactive to ever beat a healthy Floyd...It's a hype fight like you called it, all he's really got is a punchers chance like the rest of them...What really separates him from the rest is the hype, he's a star and has all of Mexico behind him...

thats really all I have been trying to say. I dont think he is a bigger challenge than any of the other guys mentioned. I wouldnt say Trout is a better fighter than Alexander or Judah. I certainly am not on the Matthysse bandwagon but he is just as good a fighter as Canelo to me with a bigger punch.

Canelo brings Mexico...that cannot be denied. Just call it for what it is though...he is a superstar name....NOT superstar talent.

great breakdown...also he wont be able to cut the ring off against Floyd. which he really wasnt able to do that against Trout either. :pachaha:

where Canelo was able to land on Trout somewhat...that's not an easy thing to do. Trout is an excellent defensive fighter. Floyd is the best though. How Rigo froze Donaire, I liken that to how Floyd would freeze Canelo. (freeze meaning Canelo would have a hard time pulling the trigger)

add in the fact that if canelo does catch floyd he'd eat that shyt like nothing

He got 5 mill the last fight,

They way Bradley looked against Ruslan disgusted me, that is the definition of an overratted fighter.

Pacquiao needs to KO Bradley, or I'd never respect him again.

bradley fought stupid as fukk against provodnikov but :wow: it was one helluva fight...i must have rewatched that shyt like 20 times already since it happened last month..ive been very hypocritical about bradley and how he fights but the fact he fought as clean with no headbutts against provo...i had to respect it..bradley though isn't going to be undefeated much longer...i wouldnt be surprised if his punch resistance is fukked in some way

I think Bradley has been an overrated fighter since he won his first title. (I thought for sure Alexander would beat him, I was wrong though.) After the Prov fight I think people may be underrating him slightly though.

Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista has apparently decided to retire. The only reason I am posting this is because he was one of those that HBO tried to put hype behind hoping he would be the successor to :deadmanny:

He didnt even get off the ground good though. His first really big fight, Ponce De Leon blitzed his ass and that was that.

My point is not to say that these guys dont have talent, but if HBO and the promoters would actually let these guys fight and get some experience, they would be better. They just want to microwave manufacture these guys.

It was someone that used to say (cant remember who) that if you have fought 20 fights and havent lost then something is wrong. Fighters are manufactured now off of built up records fighting trash cans and cupcakes for the most part....then they are good for a major fight or two, the promoter and the network wipes their asses with them and flush em down the toilet.

this is the same fate I see coming with Canelo. some fighters can be lucky enough to keep winning, but most dont. the best way to build a fighter is with good stiff opposition.

Canelo is the talk right now. People say he has potential to be great and all that. They talk about how he is 42-0. Rigo on the other hand doesnt get a fraction of the love. Even though he is 12-0, there is no doubt to me who is the better fighter between him and Canelo at this point.
