Luke Campbell vs. Javier Fortuna Likely Heading To United States
By Ron Lewis

Published On Tue Feb 11, 2020, 05:40 PM EST

Luke Campbell looks likely to be heading to the United States for his third attempt at a world title, despite his own promoter having the rights to the fight.

Campbell, the 2012 Olympic champion, has been matched with Javier Fortuna for the vacant WBC lightweight title.

But while Eddie Hearn, Campbell’s promoter, has made an agreement with Sampson Lewkowicz, Fortuna’s promoter, for the fight, Campbell is unlikely to get home advantage with it being pencilled in for a Matchroom show in the US on April 25.

“We have agreed terms with Fortuna,” Hearn said. “We’d quite like the fight in the UK, but he does not want to leave America and I would rather have it on our show. So that will take place in America in April, possibly April 25. We are just finalising that.”

It will be Campbell’s third attempt at a world title, having lost a split decision to Jorge Linares in Los Angeles in 2017 and a points decision to Vassiliy Lomachenko in London last summer.

The title became vacant when, first, Lomachenko was named “franchise champion” by the WBC and then Devin Haney, who had claimed the belt, was named “champion in recess” after undergoing shoulder surgery.

Fortuna, the former WBA super-featherweight champion from the Dominican Republic, will be making his second attempt to win a world title at lightweight, having lost to Robert Eater Jr for the IBF title in 2018.

Hearn added that the April 25 show could also feature the much-anticipated women’s superfight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.

I came in here to say this. When the last time the B side (according to yall who constantly claim PBC would be B sides in a lot of these fights) make the offer?

GGG wasn't controlling negotiations with Nelo

Facts

B sides can only call out, sway public opinion against the A side, and or just keep being impressive so you can make bigger fights as yourself as the A side. (Ex. GGG vs Jacobs)
All that shyt usually happens first, so the A side can start seeing the potential in the event. We might be in an era where this process gets milked to death, but thats usually how it goes.

The difference is Jermall Charlo for some strange reason thinks he that dude.. Super inflated and delusional sense of self worth.. :gucci: Nobody knows you nikka, outside of hardcore boxing heads. YOU AINT shyt.. This nikka really believes in order for a fight to be made, everybody gotta crawl to him and Al Haymon. Its a two way street hoe.. All the other champions in your division is at DAZN.. Al Haymon need to be calling Eddie Hearn. This fukking clown talking bout meet him at the Wilder fight:what:.. I just dont understand these weird ass nikkas man.

Andrade entire career is a joke.. He should be praising Jesus DAZN came along and saved his worthless career.. They paying this nikka to fight bum ass foreign nikkas who name you cant even pronounce..

I dont see how any real boxing fan can support these two clowns

Pacquiao Inks Pact With Paradigm Sports, Who Handle McGregor
By Random Hits

Published On Tue Feb 11, 2020, 09:58 PM EST

It was announced earlier today that eight division champion Manny Pacquiao signed with Paradigm Sports Management for representation as he looks to solidify the final years of his boxing legacy.

Paradigm will partner with Pacquiao’s existing team, which includes business manager, Arnold Vegafria, his associate Ping Nepomuceno and legal counsel Brando Viernesto in representing the boxer.

Pacquiao exploded onto the world boxing scene when he defeated Edmund “Enting” Ignacio on January 22, 1995. Since then, Pacquiao has established himself as one of the greatest pound-for-pound fighters in the sport, boasting a 62-7-2 professional record and becoming the only boxer in history to win twelve major world titles across eight different weight divisions. Pacquiao currently serves as a Senator in the Philippines, after being elected in 2016.

“I am proud to partner with Paradigm Sports Management and am excited for the opportunities that Audie Attar and PSM have to offer,” says Pacquiao. “One thing I want everyone to remember is to always think positively. Never think negatively; that is the beginning of your downfall. Everything is possible”.

Paradigm President and CEO Attar manages Irish MMA star Conor McGregor and was largely responsible for setting up what’s become known as “the Biggest Fight in Combat Sports History,” a professional boxing match between McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.

Attar said, “I’m honored to have the opportunity not only to maximize Manny’s boxing career but to help him continue to leave a legacy he is proud of through the lens of business and sport. My approach is to focus on each client and their goals always, and I look forward to fighting on his behalf.”

Paradigm has set itself apart as full-service management that handles the careers of a global roster of elite combat sports athletes, including Conor McGregor, Israel Adesanya, Leon Edwards, and Cris Cyborg.

damn it..i really hope this isnt going to turn in what into what i think its going to be :francis:

Warren is lucky Dubois just signed a new 5 year deal with him, he will want to protect Dubois at all costs now, that's his main asset. Anthony Yarde is a really good prospect too, but a lot of his fighters are leaving, he has very little hold on Fury too so he may struggle a bit, he seems to be really banking on Dubois.
