Yeah I think he should retire at this point. That fight was high level & at 36 (damn near 37) he pushed Monster to the brink & almost won years out of his prime. He has nothing left to prove. And don't be surprised if Monster isn't the same after that scrap either. I just watched it again last night & those exchanges were brutal :picard:

Inoue's a tough b*stard but taking those kinds of bombs from Nonito for 12 rounds took a few years off him

i couldnt agree more bro

i only put pac vs thurman above this fight for FOTY because that fight was simply inspiring that a fighter that has the classic fights/wars that manny has had is on a mission to make a new WW generation foolish at his age

but monster vs donaire is a solid number 2..my adrenaline levels was so high watching the high level violent fade play out on top of clean sportsmanship..i wanted to go the gym instead of my job to put in work lol

TR seems hellbent on rushing monster back in the ring even with all those injuries and i cant understand why. did they not learn from what happened to dogboe? donaire though the end is near for him. dude is a lock for the HOF and was a clean boxer..not testing positive for PEDs...he should take a super soft touch to go out on a W and call it a day before someone makes that decision for him

man those filipinos know how to fight gotdammit..filipino school of boxing needs to be talked about more unlike another school of boxing that shall nameless :pachaha:

You right, shyt was looking funny then, but you know nikkas be hoping and shyt. :mjcry:

nikka prolly got offered like 750k or 1 mil for the Jojo fight and he still in disbelief. :mjlol:

I don't know what he expected. It's not a unification and Jojo isn't Ryan Garcia or Tank status as far as drawing goes.

yeah i dont know what tevin's problem is? i mean all of dude's title defenses are ibf mandatories so its not like he is cherry picking plus hes one of the more active world champs.i think he likes the fact he is a priority/marquee fighter for a platform after all those years in obscurity in undercards and is trying to milk all he can before gambling again

with that being said..both tank and farmer have to share blame for not making the one fight ppl actually care about

and yet 7 years later...marquez retired because of "injuries" :mjpls: and manny is arguably a top 2 welterweight and a legit champ at 40-41

manny is the only true great active in boxing today

marquez retired at age 41 as a champion:mjgrin:

i'd say 21 years of service in the sport is more than enough:wow:

marquez entering the hall of fame in a few months while pacquaio still boxing to pay the bills:sas2:

:deadmanny:.......:blessed:

yup c00ney cleaned up ron lyle and jimmy young too

ali got badly beaten by holmes and trevor berbick

frazier got knocked around and nearly ko'ed by a journeyman

shavers became someone an up and comer or prospect needed to pad a record

chances are foreman may have had the same fate if he didnt retire like he did
Love everything except the Foreman talk, still only think he loses to Holmes and maybe Witherspoon lol.

Even if you put some partial blame on Tank, Farmer was the one more hurt by not making that fight at that time.

Hell, old ass Gamboa is still a bigger more recognizable name than Farmer and Jojo.

Couldn't have had said it any better bro. Maybe TR knows that fight took more from Monster than the public knows or assumes & they're gonna capitalize. Either way they both need at least 6-8 months rest & I hope Nonito does take a soft touch & goes out with a W. I'd hate to see him stay in the game too long & lose his health unnecessarily
