I haven’t read much speculation on exactly why Lalo went to Jimmy in here. Unless I missed/forgot something, Lalo doesn’t know Jimmy is connected to Gus/Mike (or at least they haven’t shown it).

What do we think Lalo’s play is here?


Nah, he wanted the guys to leave all their other posts (including Saul/Kim). Mike tells Gus that he pulled everyone to the house but did leave a crew at the laundry.

I guess I just answered my own question tho. Lalo could’ve went to see Jimmy and noticed he was being watched. If that’s how he found out Jimmy was connected to Mike/Gus, Jimmy’s def got some ‘splaining to do

I'm assuming that Lalo has been watching everyone he's been suspicious of prior to him making a move. I don't remember if they showed him following Jimmy/Kim earlier in this season, I know Mike's people were on Kim, but I feel like they showed a scene that implied that Lalo was watching them to. (I have to go back and look to confirm fully tho)

When he picked up on Gus watching the phone lines with Hector, he purposely said what he said to get them into full alert mode and ramp up around Gus' spot. It wasn't until then that he pulled up on Jimmy and Kim. I don't think it's a coincidence, I'm going to say that he knew Gus/Mike had people watching them, and only went back there after his distraction pulled the goons away.

I think he wanted to draw them off both locations, after visiting Jimmy he’s definitely headed to the laundry place. Tyrus and the minimum security about to get wrecked

i honestly dont know why he's going to visit jimmy. but he wasn't initially thinking of visiting him until after he called hector back and set up the misdirect. he did that, and then he saw the roach which made him think of jimmy. remember, when kim went to visit lalo in prison he compared jimmy to a cucaracha.

plenty of reasons for him to visit jimmy:

• he already didnt trust him.
• jimmy was nacho's lawyer before he was lalo's (nacho connected the two), and it's pretty obvious jimmy had help getting out of the desert. the same way nacho had help setting up lalo for the hit. everything we've seen from lalo suggests he's smart enough to connect the threads to gus, or will do so eventually at the very least.
• or... he bought kim's lie and wants their help taking down gus.

Yea, I went back to the scene I was thinking about. It was when Kim and Jimmy left the accountants running the tax return scam.

They show a car trailing them after they pull away. It looks like the same car that Kim confronted when outside of the diner. There were 2 guys in the car when she did that, there was only 1 person in the car following them after the scam scene which is why early on, I thought it was Lalo...

It’ll be interesting to see how they make it fit with the BB scene where Saul is pleading for his life and trying to blame “it” on Nacho. This is one of, if not the best, writing teams of a show I’ve watched, so I have faith that they’ll tie it all together in a way that will at least make sense and possibly have us like

Lalo crawled through the sewer to get there. Mike didn’t have enough men to provide surveillance for a 3 block radius of the laundry. The few men he had there probably just covered the perimeter of the grounds.

First off, Nacho was Lalo's original connection to Jimmy, right? So Lalo thinks Jimmy might be tainted due to that Nacho association and might know more about Nacho's plotting. On top of that, the Salamancas believe that Nacho was working for Gus....so does that mean Jimmy is working for Gus too?

Then go back to the money pickup. Lalo knew that Jimmy was lying about bringing the money back alone. So he knows Jimmy is somehow wrapped up with people involved in this shyt and it's not his people. Which means that either Jimmy is involved with Nacho or Jimmy is involved with Gus, because those are the only people who would have their hands in his shyt without telling him....and either way Lalo wants to know about it.

i think Lalo knows he's tapped in with Mike. He leaves a body at Jimmys crib he's might expect Jimmy to reach out to Mike about helping with the clean up or anything they should be doing. While Mike helps with that Gus is more exposed

The build up of the 3 episodes following Nacho's death and preceding Howard's death is a huge part of what made Howard's death so impactful. It would not have hit the same without the slow burn build up.

No way Lalo is alive in the Breaking Bad events and just lets all that shyt happen to Hector and his methhead nephew. Plus I'm pretty sure Gus tells Hector that he's the last Salamanca.





Because Lalo only has so many connections. Jimmy was the lawyer who got him out and the guy who got the money from the desert. And Lalo knows shyt went down in the desert that Jimmy wasn't telling him about. So Lalo suspects Jimmy knows more than he's let on AND knows that Jimmy has enough connections to him to make his place a spot to watch.

I think Hector was upset because he wants Lalo to rise to be at the head of the cartel and he knows this will destroy him. And methhead ain't going anywhere in the organization.






This is where Lalo's disarming appearance was Howard's doom. If Tuco or the Twins or Hector walks into that room, you get the fukk out. Lalo walks in and you wait and see what this fellow is up to.

More than "something bad". Lalo's M.O. is crawling through windows and openings. The moment that candle flickered you knew there was a draft, meaning a window had opened, meaning Lalo was in the cut. Second flicker was Lalo opening the door of the room where the window was open.

I didn't say Lalo would be alive in Breaking Bad, I said SAUL WOULD THINK LALO IS STILL ALIVE IN BREAKING. That's how we first heard about Lalo and Nacho.

I just don't see it because it's not Kim. What kind of life would Kim have on the run? She might as well go to jail, serve her time, and grind to start over. She's not a cockroach like Jimmy, she can't hide under the fridge her entire life.

You really did not watch this series at all if you think Kim isn't not just as bad as Jimmy, but WORST? It's exactly why Mike went to Kim to tell her about Lalo instead of Jimmy because she's about that life. They showed signs of this throughout the series. Her leaving everything behind to go into hiding because she fly too close to the sun is PRECISELY how things are heading right now. The vacuum card is obvious foreshadowing for this. Jimmy didn't event wanted to do the Howard scam, that was KIM'S idea and pressed Jimmy into it, and even when Jimmy said we should cancel, she vetoed that suggestion. This is who she IS!! It makes more sense that she pushed things to the point of no return and end up having no choice to but to disappear.

I wasn't sure initially either. But now I suspecting he's going to use them to expose Gus. Lalo only cares about providing proof so the Salamanca's have the green light to kill Gus for betrayal. I'm not sure if it's proof of the underground meth lab, but maybe proof about Nacho working for Gus, because Jimmy KNOWS Nacho.
