Of course this muthafukker had to play super simp at the end SMH! Could’ve been out in 7 years but had to grow a conscience.
He always had a conscience though. Jimmy's always been aware where he hurts other people and to some extent does truly feel bad about it. Chuck even told him as much, and was right on the money.

Yeah I felt the exact same way after the BB finale, I liked it (I like this one more) but it was all just a bit too convenient. I almost liked the theory more that the entire episode was a fevre dream of Walts.

Same with BCS, I fukking loved it right up until the plane when it became obvious that Saul was about to throw it all away for Kim; he damn near smirked in the camera. I don't hate it because I could see his character being conflicted about letting Kim go down, but it was just too smooth and so predictable.

Overall I love this series, even though the second half of the finale was disappointing. There's so much quality. I almost would've liked it better if the final scene was Jimmy kind of figuring out that he could save Kim and...credits, and we choose whether he chose Jimmy MgGill or Saul...but Vince Gilligan didn't go for that and I respect that too.
What did he throw away for Kim. They couldn't be charged for his murder.

a follow up “movie” or 90 minute ep would be cool a few years from now lol

i was low key mad that he burned the 7 year deal down cause it’d keep the door open for them to make a movie set when he got out…but a prison movie is probably just as good (doubtful cause they all seem content with ending the story)….plus realistically, like Dankster said, Jeff would’ve rolled on him and he’d get more time anyway

ya I’m sure there won’t be one…it’d just be fun to see a story based on some prison hijinks but as far as telling the story they needed to, they’re done

BCS and BB have basically the same ending......Walt was in the clear in the end, but had to sacrifice himself to prove he wasn't just evil....same with Saul. The problem however is that we followed these dudes through multiple seasons of them going deeper and deeper into some out of pocket evil shyt, but now suddenly want to have a change of heart? nahh....lazy writing.

My feelings on the second half of the season:

curb-your-enthusiasm-larry-david.gif

They didn't stick the landing. The last few episodes were very anticlimactic which I was not expecting. Went into the finale hoping to be impressed but was let down.

Let me get this straight he took 79 extra years just so Kim could avoid a civil suit? :why:

The stakes don't match up so him having such a dramatic change of heart and choosing to die in prison isn't believable. I can't believe they thought that was the best path to take.

Didn't feel right for his character nor Kim's. She just sat there and let him take the fall after confessing to Howard's widow because she couldn't deal with the guilt :gucci:

This is one of those times where the ending taints my overall opinion of a show.

he didn't take the fall for Kim. she already confessed to the Howard thing. He owned up to being a scumbag and giving his conscious peace, he lured her there so she could see it.

Then it makes even less sense:wow:

the entire Gene timeline since season 1 was preparing us for him breaking. he was tired of running from the truth. the whole series has been about Jimmy McGill putting on masks to fight his humanity. in the end it finally came off.
