yeah, I just simply cannot buy anyone doing this.

lol same…I actually lost sleep thinking about it

after reading some comments, I agree he didn’t do it to “protect” kim…but he realized she took him up on his word and confessed off the strength of the last conversation they had and now it was basically his turn…I’m not buying this was some master plan he always had…I don’t believe he had a change of heart until they told him what kim did and he saw how selfless she was…he was overwhelmed by it enough to do the same

maybe I’m focused too much tho on what I would do…I can’t say what he did is unheard of…look at g-dep…turned himself in for a 20 year old shooting that police had no idea he was involved in and he got 15 years…the need to clear his conscience was that strong…I think hearing what kim did had that effect on jimmy…7 to 86 tho is still fukking bananas lmao

man it's funny cause we got 2 shows this year that were high quality that ended with the main character behind bars and shot seemingly the same way in the final scene...We Own This City & BCS.
I love how different the context between the characters too. Jimmy went out like a man faced his sins and his name rings out in celebration in prison because he spent his career trying to help the guys in here . While the dirty cop who thought he was honorable went out like a bytch in fear of the people he put In jail.

I’ll even go out on a limb and say he didn’t have a complete change of heart until he saw kim in the courtroom…kind of made me think of godfather 2 when dude saw his brother at the senate hearing and felt so ashamed that he couldn’t go thru with snitching…I think seeing kim especially after hearing what she sacrificed to tell the truth made him feel a sense of shame…throughout the show we see she is the only person who could crack that saul facade (with the only exception being when she went to have him sign the divorce papers)…prior to that tho his plan while in full-saul mode was to whittle down the sentence they were gonna give him based on the “victim” angle and then he was gonna use the howard situation to knock down that sentence even more (he would’ve probably kept kim’s name out if it)…he would’ve succeeded too if kim didn’t confess which is basically when he starts to reevaluate himself/everything

She wrote this book, a Mr. Show behind the scenes/bio and episode guide, which was a reward for any fan of sketch comedy:

It's almost 20 years old, but as a fan of the show, it was an incredibly solid recap/behind the scenes of much of the show's creation.

She has definitely supported and steered his career for quite some time.

I know a lot of ppl are saying why would Saul throw it all away for his ex who he didn't even have kids with, but I think deep down he never wanted her to get too caught up in his scam life. When Lalo came to their apartment he basically found a way to spare her life in exchange for his, so the ending is no different. Plus if he got the 7 years in prison, he's an ex convict when he gets out his life of running scams is pretty much over, so he did what he could and got Kim out. I can't hate that.

300 murders a year
Dam Ji mmy got dam near 100 years
Didn't think he would fall on the sword like that. I guess they wanted some sorta happy ending for him and Kim.

Interested to see what these 2 new series will be about. But I'm guessing they are walking totally away from the BB/BCS world all together

I haven’t watched ‘we own this city’…will probably start today…wasn’t sure about it but if you’re putting it up there with BCS in terms of quality, then I’m definitely check it out

it's based on real life Baltimore cops and their corruption and the creator of the Wire is behind it...so it'd be good off top

definitely a must watch
