I get why they did what they did, but the execution wasnt there for me. Especially since we just saw dude being a threat to old lady's at the beginning of the episode. Im not sure "that guy" is doing 86 years if he didnt have to. And if he is then we needed to another episode of where the guilt really weighed on him + the love of his life was really about to lose something.

He essentially went back to crime because she wasnt fukking with him. It almost fills like the previous episodes were filler (even though I loved them). He should have got word she was doing about to do time and it was her actions/owning up to it that got him willing to come out of the shadows and turn himself in.

Its like they wanted to remind us "He's still that guy if he wanted to be...but he gonna do the right thing anyway" Which I get for being different, but again for me the execution of it wasnt quite there.

Did anyone notice Chuck with H.G. Wells Time Machine book? I'm wondering if they were inferring that this memory was weighing heavy on Jimmy, and that's why he asked the time machine question in 2 scenes where he was forced to sit down and reflect.

I wonder why they didn't switch to colour when Gene was over.

It’s crazy how Jimmy went to jail and hes in a better place mentality than he was as Gene hiding. It’s a bittersweet ending because he got caught but his soul and well-being are way better

I noticed that as well. Though I must admit, I didn’t want him to get caught. Can’t believe how sloppy he got towards the end of it all

Jesse already had the movie, and the writers confirmed that this universe is officially done. They've been working on it since 2005/2006 or something like that. No more in the tank, and that's ok

Yeah I felt the exact same way after the BB finale, I liked it (I like this one more) but it was all just a bit too convenient. I almost liked the theory more that the entire episode was a fevre dream of Walts.

Same with BCS, I fukking loved it right up until the plane when it became obvious that Saul was about to throw it all away for Kim; he damn near smirked in the camera. I don't hate it because I could see his character being conflicted about letting Kim go down, but it was just too smooth and so predictable.

Overall I love this series, even though the second half of the finale was disappointing. There's so much quality. I almost would've liked it better if the final scene was Jimmy kind of figuring out that he could save Kim and...credits, and we choose whether he chose Jimmy MgGill or Saul...but Vince Gilligan didn't go for that and I respect that too.

I know a lot of ppl are saying why would Saul throw it all away for his ex who he didn't even have kids with, but I think deep down he never wanted her to get too caught up in his scam life. When Lalo came to their apartment he basically found a way to spare her life in exchange for his, so the ending is no different. Plus if he got the 7 years in prison, he's an ex convict when he gets out his life of running scams is pretty much over, so he did what he could and got Kim out. I can't hate that.
I could MAYBE see taking an extra 1-3 years for Kim, but an extra 8 decades?

"That guy" wasn't locked away in a holding cell for hours, outed as Saul Goodman, with no way out except to plea down to seven years. Also, when he didn't take 86 years for no reason, he did it to exonerate Kim and be a human again.

He could've made her life difficult, but he had regrets and he was never capable of living through them, so he pretended to be someone else. But once he looked at it, he realized he had one more person living on the entire planet, one person in his actual life, that actually saw him as a human and not a bad guy (no Mom, Dad, brother, friends) and he realized he would rather her respect him as a human and Jimmy, the man she loved, than be out in the world as Saul, with no "home" (can't practice law, no friends no life no nothing, he would just slip into Saul again as Walt said - he's always done)

He went out bad and went out on top at the same time. Just like Walter White....

Lil Boosie said he would take a murder charge that he didnt commit for his son, and he was dead serious (in response to the other rappers Pop's not doing so) - some people would rather live miserably than "live" with the feeling that they wronged someone they truly love. You don't have to agree, but it's not unrealistic.

When Walt and Gretchen were accounting for the composition of a human being, they added up all the elements and came up .111958% shy. Gretchen is all like "what about the soul?" :mjlol:

For Jimmy, he figured out that his soul / (Saul) was worth 79 years. :francis:

Saul went out gangsta. He did that shyt for him.

He didn't go out some rat that used his wife to get lesser time and ended up playing golf in the feds.

He basically said he made Walter and all what Walter did he facilitated it all. Basically Walter was a pawn in his game.

He took responsibility for Howard and Chuck. Basically he brought HMM down. Then he built Saul Goodman in to what he became. With Kim she was just there for fun he was there for the game.

Even with Oakley instead of him being the lawyer who got Saul a sweet deal he was the advisor to him. Basically what Lalo did for Saul he didn't do that for Oakley.

He took all the advice in the time machine aspect of this show Basically stand up for what's right.

Mike do your job. It's not all about the money it's about who you are.

Walter theirs no time travel it just regrets. Don't let Noone steal what you built take credit for it.

Chuck even don't I like your clients tell me about they deserve proper representation.

Basically he accepted all of it. Ended up where he could be respected name mean something.

The part in when talking about Chuck the camera went to the exit and the electricity nouse started to come was great.
