O-Red vs B Magic the 3rd announcement for Lift His Soul RBE card.

I was watching some old B Magic, I'm not so sure Rum Nitty is over him all-time. B Magic used to say some CRAZY shyt that stood the test of time. I gotta think about it more

If we’re being objective, I prefer prime B-Magic over Rum Nitty. However, we gotta be real here. B-Magic has had more bad years in battle rap, then he’s had good years. His prime was like 2012 - 2014. I view the Con battle as the end of his prime, and to be honest, he was slipping prior to that battle from choking against Big T and underperforming on smaller leagues.

The weird thing about Bmagic is he was either great or trash. There was really no in between. He’s been wack for 7 years now, but people loved him in his prime so much, that they really want to believe in him.

I think B magic has voice, flow, believability, etc over Rum but the fact he was only able to deliver for 2 years at the highest level has got to mean something.

I think he’s an excellent performer too. His delivery is a huge part of what makes his punches hit the way they do.

It’s not like he’s Chilla where there are literally no frills outside of what he’s actually saying.

Rum is a horrible performer. Hes so extra all that weird moving and stupid gestures smh. Rum definitely has a powerful delivery but those long ass pauses before the punch and in between set ups are annoying. Dude has no flow whatsoever. nikka has no idea how to rap at all.

I agree. Nitty definitely has the edge over him in terms of longevity. Nitty has been consistently good for 5 years now. When he was on KOTD and crying on Angryfans and contemplating retirement, he wasn't good then. But he randomly got super good at punchlines. It's actually kinda weird. He went from a low-key cringe joke style with some punches into a full fledged gun-bar specialist with over the head creative punches out of nowhere. His career trajectory is kinda wild when you think about it.

The thing that surprised me about Magic, going back, is that some of his punchlines are crazier than I even remember. Like I was always a big fan of him in his prime, but like most punchline rappers, when I go back I expect almost everything to sound dated. What surprised me is how much some of B Magic's lines still hold up in 2021. Even battles as old as 9-10 years ago, he still has punches that could rock a room today.

I usually brush off DNA but this Invictus album got some nice gems on it. Salute to him on making this record.

Yeah I didn’t like Rum on KOTD at all, I thought he was kind of corny. It’s very possible he may have performed that way to accommodate that crowd (which is why street battlers want out ASAP). I do believe he got better significantly better though. Both things can be true.

Maybe my timelines are off but I remember Nitty getting significantly better after being in Writers Block and I assumed he was getting help with his pen. He’s developed his own signature style since then but I definitely think he got some guidance.

He's a good performer I think. He really be moving around Lmao.
yea but can we have a REAL discussion about that..... :francis: we just talkin about him moving around stage right? is he really doing anything crazy there? I feel like so many battlers are either out of shape or are just cornball type nikkas that we lower the bar for what performance actually is :hubie: how Rum performs should be pretty standard in battle rap IMO

nikkas like Brizz or Twork are good performers to me, they don't even gotta rap some times and the room reacts like it's a haymaker.

with rum, when he's not punching his performance isn't making the other lines sound fire to me at all.

I do agree that a lot of battlers benefit from the fact that most battlers are too heavy or in too bad of shape to be performing. I don’t think Nitty is doing anything special on that stage.

Emerson Kennedy vs Chef Trez

Interesting since Emerson was just hosting the last UM tournament just a week ago

Very interesting

Either he got URL’s blessing or he isn’t self aware to realize that it’s a dumb move politically.

This is a guy that said he’s working closely with Caffeine to produce content. It just doesn’t make sense IMO. If you have a show on caffeine or are working with them, I just don’t think it would be wise to do a battle with the URL’s biggest rival.
