I appreciate them trying to make a different Lex Luthor, as that character has always seemed incredible boring to me... but i guess it didn't work

For me this is by the best live-action movie Lex. I think it was Kevin Smith who said that in every Superman movie Lex is always in some sort of land development deals so I'm glad thats not the case here.

you have a 3 hour lunch break?
He must be one of those black guys that the late great Bernie Mac was talking about. "Black people, when we break, we break. Gotta come look for us. You seen Johnny?"

Just purchased my ticket. Bought to head over soon. I'll give my thought when it's done. I'm excited.

Henry Cavill had me out here rooting for Batman

How many more chances is this man going to get

?

Cavil was not the issue. Blame Synder and Goyer for not giving him much to work with. It only so much an actor can do with shytty dialogue and overall impression. This character was built to be emo, boring and depressing for this movie. It sad seeing this because this isn't the Superman I w would have want people this generation knowing. I honestly would of preferred seeing the JLU, or even the Lego Superman in this movie.

also

dont she have an invisible jet? why this chick about to fly coach in the beginning of the final battle?:mjlol:

It's nitpicky but...
lol @ a commercial plane even having people on board when aliens are flying through the sky and fukking the city up. They would've shut down all airports in the country in that scenario.

in an unexpected twist of all the main characters I enjoyed cavill as superman the most... and I don't actually feel he got shortchanged like people have been saying. I feel like he had just as much to do as batman did, even more in some respects. It was just terrible.

I saw the first hour and change of the movie before having to leave due to an emergency so cant give a proper review yet.

But what i saw was all over the place. This certainly wont win any awards for editing. Holy crap this movie shifted gears/scenes like every 30 seconds!

What I liked:

Jeremy Irons was dope
Not actual mad at Ben
The first cameo was actually dope (now i knew who it was but the average movie goer will have no clue unless that got explained later)

What I did not like:

EISENBERG AS LUTHOR IS PHUCKIN' ATROCIOUS!!!
The editing (again)
The dream sequences came outta nowhere at times (and one was too heavily choreographed)

*my theater actually :russ: at the opening when the bats lifted young Bruce towards the light

Biggest reaction in the theater also came during the Civil War trailer when Spider-Man appeared

Me and my friends were DYING during Bruce's dream sequence

:russ:

Ya theatre was lucky gettin da "Civil War" trailer. We got a bunch of horror movie trailers n sum dumb trailer bout sum Mexican detective

I don't care too much about critics myself, sometimes I feel they can be too lenient on films. But I would take their opinions over the general audience any day.

Audiences hated The Shining when it came out too bro:yeshrug:.
I still have friends who are diehard King Stans who hate The Shining with a passion because of the changes Kubrick made from the book.

I don't even know how the debate can even move forward. you either enjoyed it or you didn't, but there doesn't seem like there's much to actually debate. all the bullets that the Snyder apologists/defenders use in their arguments have been taken out of the gun. It's not mature, it's not deep, it's corny, it's cheesy, it's both grimdark serious and b-movie camp at the same time... the trailers DID reveal too much and the justice league inserts (including WW) were obviously tacked on.

all that's left to debate is whether or not you were able to enjoy it. and if you did, what can I say... I salute you.

I think that was a lot of the reason why I liked this interpretation of Lex too...I was so sick of Lex being just lame as fukk in his motivations in those other movies. Even Spacey (who showed a glimpse of just what a perfect Lex could be when he was whooping Superman's ass at the end of Superman Returns) was in it for some stupid fukking real estate deal.
