Yeah Thor was dope in this. And they did a good job of balancing his serious "I'm a God" demeanor in his first two solo flicks with his jokey demeanor in "Thor: Ragnarok." It was also good how even in a few short scenes, you actually felt the weight of Thor's loss and how it made him really give no fukks when it came to creating the weapon and going straight at Thanos. Besides Thanos, he had the most compelling arc in the movie and him touching down in Wakanda with the Avengers theme blasting got the biggest reaction from the audience
This close to release, yeah, give or take a few weeks. The movies have already been filmed and these are prime time slots for them in May and July.
Edit: I just remembered that Marvel is skipping comic con this year. That is usually when they bring out the big guns and show trailers. Feels like them skipping it is a sign that they may indeed go dark on marketing anything past phase 3 until Infinity War 2 releases.

so it's obvious capt marvel is gonna appear, but are we getting warlock as well? he was mentioned in the post credit scene of gotg 2. it would kind of suck if capt marvel came and single-handedly evened the playing field and turned things around.

The loudest pop in my theater came from when Cap was revealed from the shadows. Second was Red Skull. Cutting to Wakanda for the first time got a nice lil pop too.live reaction of the crowd when thor touched down in wakanda

2 months ago I could be found calling killmonger one of the best cbm villains of all time and black panther one of the best cbm of all time but because I’m not sucking thanos dikk for killing characters we know aren’t actually dead I’m biased
Gotta love it.
I’m perfectly fine with having this conversation after avengers 4 after how things shake out. Because he could really still do long lasting damage. But I ain’t crowning someone over a bad plot device for shock value. Because end of the day that’s all the ending was. Cheap,low hanging,lazy ass shock value.
And saying but but but the comics doesn’t hand wave away criticism no matter how badly some of you want it to. Last time I checked these are movies. Last time I checked this was billed as a complete film. Last time I checked this was supposed to be the climax of over 18 films.
Lazy shock value isn’t greatness. It was hackneyed writing in the comics and it still is now. Those deaths mean as little as the deaths in the future scenes from days of future past.
When avengers 4 comes out and we see the complete story then we can all have a real discussion. Until then fukk outta here with fanboy hyperbole.
Let the story be complete and let these films breath before making wild proclamations because you’re caught up in the moment.
I'm not as overly critical of the film as you are cuz I still think it was a very good flick, but I def agree with your overall sentiment. I avoided the trailers as best I could and stayed away from potential spoilers, but people aren't being honest if they don't acknowledge their suspension of disbelief had to have been affected KNOWING BP and Spider-Man sequels are already announced. It is what it is, but that's just keeping it one hundred
