The Official "Avengers: Infinity War" Thread (SPOILERS)

The greatest thing about the trailer is that the MCU is unapologetically and unabashedly putting Black Panther front and center. They are truly setting him up to be a major player in Phase 4 and not allowing his upcoming Solo movie to be overshadowed. BP got MORE screen time in the trailer than Iron Man, Thor, and Black Widow. They also didn’t even show legacy Avengers like Hawkeye, nor newer characters like Ant-Man.

I will put how "Ragnarok" ties into this movie in spoilers:

At the end of "Ragnarok" Asgard is destroyed and Thor and the Asgardians go searching for a new home. A giant space ship appears in the after credits scene.

Judging by this trailer that giant ship is Thanos, he kills all the Asgardians, and Loki (who stole it from Odin's vault towards the end of "Ragnarok") gives him the Tesseract. This also explains why Thor meets The Guardians Of The Galaxy, as they're both in space at this point.

Black Panther is on par with iron man, from resouce, mental capacity, and suit design.

Dr. Doom probably higher than Iron Man but at least same level.

Batman and deathstroke should be in the same category

Deadpool can regenerate how the hell is he mid-tier with deathstroke?

Silver Surfer is a cosmic being, not sure how Hulk is in that tier but whatevs.

Thanos is only in that high tier when he has the Gauntlet, outside of that he will fall in the S/Herald range. Still a beast, but more beatable.

Like I said, the list is simplified. Within those tiers, there are also smaller levels. For example:

Black Panther, Dr. Doom and Stark with prep can defeat and plan around cosmic threats. The purpose of the list was to list them based on physical attributes/default destructive capability. I.e. without prep time.

Deadpool and Deathstroke are more or less equal in stats. Deadpool has better regeneration and Deathstroke is smarter/thinks faster.

For example New 52 Superman can do this, bench press the weight of the earth for 5 days without sunlight casually and broke a sweat only once, at the end of the five days:

Thanos is clearly above Herald level. But below someone like Odin.

He is in a tier of his own.

With the Gauntlet he is above Galactus and the other abstracts
