Shane Bieber has a big incentive to have a great year.
Teams likely won't give up a lot to trade for him this summer because he's a free agent in the winter. But if he has a great 1st half, Cleveland might be forced to take whatever they can get.

Max Fried is another guy hitting free agency, though there's almost no chance he gets moved.

Same with Corbin Burnes and the Orioles. I don't think Burnes gets moved though because if Baltimore is out of the hunt, they're not gonna send him to Tampa or New York. And I don't think any other contending teams want to give up prospects for a rental.

I ain’t signing no autographs for no nikkas!….the prequel

:mjpls:

:laff:

So, the way to spin this is....

"Jordan is motivating him to be so great that other great athletes will want his autograph" :gladbron:

In reality, I think that's just some clever bullshyt Jordan says to avoid signing autographs. Because there's no counter to it. But you know deep down Jordan doesn't ever ask anybody for no goddamn autograph. Get real.

I think it started when Xander wasn't happy with a strike call. The ump thought he called a timeout, so when he finally does call one he gets a violation. What a weird call.

Ty Cobb rolling in hell

This is obscure but I remember when people thought Austin Hedges was going to be this great catcher. And defensively I suppose he's okay. But offensively this guy is a disaster.

.189/.246/.321
OPS+ of 55

:hhh:

Yes, defense and pitch calling/framing matters primarily for catchers. But that's pathetic.
